Ok, I like that cast, but it's still wrong. The last Batman movie was TERRIBLE. Can't we just let it go? Can't Hollywood come up with anything original??

 

That's why Catwoman comes along...and it stank...

Not that I'm a big fan of the comic book version, but this edition is a prequel and is supposed to be "faithful" to the original Dark Knight flavor. i.e. - a dark flick.

Directed by Christopher Nolan of Memento fame, one of my all time favorite films.

 

seeing the director, I give this movie hope.

 

That and Christian Bale has NEVER played a light hearted character. He's always dark and gloomy.

The "nearly evil" Batman is the version I always like.

 

Don't forget Liam Neeson, Tom Wilkinson and Rutger Hauer. Wilkinson will add a little understated class to the picture and Hauer has always been one of my favorite scifi actors (even though his role selection generally piss-poor).

I have a feeling that if this movie is done right, it will be the best Batman movie to date. They finally found a good, moody director and a cast full of genuinely good actors (instead of throwing in any headliner they can find).

I'm really anxious to see if Oldman (normally known for playing scumbag roles) can pull off one of the most enduring and lovable characters in the Batman mythos.

Now, about this Batmobile...(hold on, wait 'til I stop laughing)...it's pure crap.
