New Addition to the Family
Parents just bought a 2007 Honda CR-V EX with leather and navigation. They paid $27100 + TTL, it's about $500 above invoice. It has a pretty nice interior with leather and navigation.

Top selling SUV.........
http://thecarblogger.blogspot.com/20...ales-ford.html
Throughout the 90's, the Ford Explorer was the best-selling SUV in America, racking up sales of 445,157 in 2000 alone. However, in the last couple of years, sales of the Explorer have plummeted from first to fourth in sales ranking. Last year, Ford sold only 179,229, and are down another 23% for the new year.
In the Honda department, there was good news with the CR-V picking up 42% in sales so far this year. It went up to the top spot, followed by the Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, and the Ford Edge, which is also seeing a strong surge. Since the demand for the CR-V has exceeded the production capacities for its East Liberty, Ohio plant, extra units from Japan are being brought over.

Nice ride! If only the CRV had a V6; the RAV4 V6 has 269HP and comes within 2 mpg of the CRV. Too bad the RAV4 seems a bit lacking in interior quality.

You got yourself a good deal for the CR-V. I think the exterior looks nicer than the Rav4 but perhaps I am biased. V6 in tne Rav4 does kick ass. Couldn't a variant of the J32 fit in there???

I just read this tho:
American Honda Motor Corporation, an Illinois man charges that a design defect in certain Honda CR-V and Element models makes them prone to fast-spreading engine fires.

I'm impressed with the latest CRV... And with gas going to $4 and beyond, might make sense to keep a smaller SUV in the garage.
I enjoy the Murano, but in town driving is 15-16mpg. Not a big deal considering the car only gets about 7,000 miles a year, however.
I'm definitely keeping an eye on the RDX, though. Are they selling well?

If your not happy with 15-16 MPG in the Murano than the RDX isn't for you.
And no they are not selling well based on Honda's initial predictions which was 40K per year. They sell about 2 to 2.5K per month which is on pace for about 25-30K.

A 4 popper thats pulling 3900 lbs.
There have been reports of 20-22 on the highway but anywhere from 15 to 19 seems to be common in the RDX forum.

Awww...It Barely Fits!
Just noticed a small detail about the car today. With the trunk open it barely fits in the garage. The trunk actually touched the top of the garage before we noticed something, but thankfully there is no scratch. I adjusted the garage to open as far up as possible but it's still a close fit. I'd say there is about a inch of clearance.
