New Acura ABS will decrease cost

Hey guys, if you live in US or Canada and want really cheap car insurance, go to http://www.investingtutorial.com/Incurance.htm and click on the second banner from the top. They give free instant quote and it is very cheap. My insurance on my Acura was around $500 per 6 months and their quote was $320. It takes 2 minutes to calculate quote. First banner from the top is also insurance company that gives instant quotes but their quotes are higher.

hmmm . . .

I just got some quotes and the lowest quotes are about what I'm currently paying.

Werd. Thanks for the link 'billytenor'.

I'm currently paying $948 every six months, but got quoted $707 through esurance. I'll have to give them a look when my current policy expires. I knew Progressive was ripping me when my premium went down a wopping $25 when I turned 25.

What does ABS in the thread banner have to do with this thread at all?

ABS has actually added to insurance rates over the years, as predicted benefits were outweighed by actual field experiences. A common scenario as an example is one where someone comes up quickly on a stopped vehicle. In the old days, people would lock up the brakes, and hit the car in front of them at a reduced speed, with the other car's impact absorbing bumper and rear end crush zones reducing the damage to car and occupant. Now, a common scenario with ABS is that the person jams on the pedal, swerves to avoid the collision (which is the miracle of Abs, but ironically, its downfall), and often goes off-road, striking either an embankment or a tree - the result of a moving object of relatively low mass hitting an immoveable object of high mass results in severe damage to the car, and often, to the driver, air bags or naught. Ergo, higher claims = higher rates.
