New accord or used tl?

Hey guys I am shopping for a new car and I can get a brand new 2007 accord ex v6 for 23K or I also found a used 2005 tl with navi for 23500obo with 63K miles on it. What would you guys do and should I be worried about a tl with 63K miles on it? Or other idea was to wait for the new accord to come out next month to buy a 2007 accord with navi. All ideas are welcome.
Thanks,
Charlie

you can find tl's from 2004 with less mileage for the same or lower price. There are a few for sale in the black market, if memory serves me correctly, nickatnite is selling his for 21k. I would go with an TL over accord any day, the technology is superior along with materials (leather). In all honesty, if you are condsidering an accord, the TSX is what would match it better rather than a TL in terms of features besides the v6 verus the I4

i too would vote for the 08 Accord but he's not going to get an EX mated w/ a V6 at 23k. between the two- i would rather have the new 07 over the 05 TL w/ 63k miles on it.

Drive the cars you are considering-- that might eliminate one or the other.

I haven't driven the newest Accords, but I would probably favor a new V6 over an older TL with medium-high miles for the same price, assuming the Accord rides and handles more tightly than the new Camrys.

We love the way both the tl and accord drive. Not really fond of the exterior of the accord but we can live with it. The things we like about the tl are bluetooth(dont know if we would use this?) rear air and the sportier exterior. The accord on the other hand is new same price but isnt as sporty also doesnt have navi. But how far down do you think the prices will come for one with navi when the 08 is released? There is no way we would be able to afford a 2008 accord that is why we are thinking about jumping on a 07 for cheaper. The only thing that concerns us about the 05 tl is the miles. and an 04 is out of the picture due to it being the first model year.

for me I'd go for the TL simply for its better exterior, better features, HID projector lights, DVD audio, sportier handling, etc. On other other hand, if you are not in a hurry, wait for the 2008 accord and then decide.

without a doubt the new accord. Think about it, you get a new car with warranty for the same price you get basically all the options too. In my experiance honda dealers are more pleasant aswell. The TL might be more of a looker, but the accord keeps growing on me, i'll need to see one to make final judgement.

i almost got a 05 tl with 45k miles for 23000 from a private part (no nav) . im sure you can do much better.

you can always purchase an extended warranty too!

That is pretty much what happened with me. I sold my 02 Maxima and was looking for a low mileage 03 TL-S OR 04 TL and came across a few great prospects. (Ironically, the performance felt about the same across the board.)

In the end, my favorable experience with my local Honda dealer (where I purchased/serviced my old 99 Accord) sold me on the 07 AV6 EX-L w/Navi. (Coupled with getting it new for <invoice plus being a new car, made it a fairly easy decision.)

I do wish it had a few more features to justify its $29.3k sticker (i.e.: HIDs, +~20lb-ft and autodown both front windows) Other than that, it is a terrific ride and I have no regrets.

For sure! IMO the smarter choice would be to get the newer car/less mileage car.

The '07 Accord will have huge depreciation after the first couple of years, especially when the new gen Accords will be out in a month's time (or so). Unless you plan on driving this new car into the ground (ie 7+ years), then it's not worth it to wait a month or two and drive a new Accord.

Personally, I am with many who already posted -- wait for the '08 Accord unless you must have a V6. As for your initial options, I'm not big with a car with so many miles on the clock and still asking for quite a bit of money. Plus, the 4-cyl Accord will be great on gas ... uses regular, not premium ... probably lower maintenance costs (ie Acura VS Honda dealer 'mark up') ... can't say anything about insurance so consider those expenses as well!

No one's mentioned a used Accord. I just picked up an 03 Accord V6 Coupe 6MT with 34k miles, certified, for $15,800.

well as we can see from car magazines and/or other threads in this forum, info of the new accord is out, and it looks like its specs are quite good. Same power as its main rivals, but get better gas mileage thanks to VCM. Anyways, I guess we still have to wait for more comparison tests.

But yea, if you get the 07 now, its value gonna depreciate by a lot, you will regret unless you keep the car for long, like what the moderator said. If you are getting an used TL though, this depreciation effect isn't as great.

08 accord is Balling! It can probably beat out my 06 TL as well.

looks like I will just wait for the 08 accords to come out and see what kindve deal I can get on an 07 then. I am sure people will be trading in there 06 and 07 accords for the new ones too. I will also keep my eyes open for a 2005 TL with less miles.

Just as a side note, the V6 also uses regular and as for gas mileage, LINK.
