Hey, but you guys forgot one other NO NO.
NO SMOKING!
I cant imagine how I would act if someone dropped a cigarette on my seat. I've gotten more used to the interior a little more, it gives the car a good contrast. Testing waters and going to black out the chrome to see how I would like it.

IMO they are terrible!
I can barley see where I'm going driving at night! I have some visibility but not as much as my old TL with the HID's << which I miss
For some reason there's more light output coming out of the passengers side head lamp more then the right side. For my DRLs im thinking of putting Nokya Yellow 9005s, I dont know if they will fit in with no effort or if its going to need some clipping.

I emailed HID Illusionz to see how much they are asking for a simple Retrofit. The shop I mentioned earlier in the thread didn't know which projectors they use so that made me think that they didn't know what they are doing. So I am currently shopping around for the right person to do the Retrofit.
I was doing some reading on a accord forum and some people installed HID kits on their Accords and they said that they haven't had any problems with on coming traffic and so forth.

I'd be interested to hear which direction you go. My concern with the HID retrofit is adding ballasts and all that goes with it. I might try the bulbs AZ User suggested.

I will keep you updated on which way i will go.

HID Illusionz emailed me back and this was the response,

" Thanks for taking interest in our retrofitting services. We are currently
having a sale with Morimoto bi-xenon projectors for $480 plus shipping.
This includes labor, projectors, shrouds, and Morimoto HID kit. You will
need to provide us with a set of headlights to have them retrofitted. Let
me know what you would like to do or if you have any additional questions.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon."

I appreciate the quick reply but man, that's a hefty amount of money for some lights. I understand it is some what a custom job ,so you have to pay to play but I have to think about dropping some money on it. Maybe just go with brighter bulbs Maybe HID just to see how it plays out. I will make my decision soon though. I cant stand the OEM light output.

If you are looking for a dedicated Accord forum, check out driveaccord.net. For a dedicated 8th generation Accord forum, check out our8thgens.com (which recently started up). Also, if you have Facebook, there is a group called my8thgen.com. I actually own an 09 Accord EX. Another good thing to know is many suspension and brake parts from the TL and the TSX swap onto the 08-12 Accord.

You can DIY the morimoto mini kit pretty easy if you're comfortable with baking the headlights.

What about the ballasts concerns you so much? It's quite simple, plug car harness to ballast, plug ballast into new bulb. You will need to wire in a relay to the battery for the trigger though otherwise the igniter may not fire. All of these instructions are widely available online. Mount the ballast using some outdoor double sided tape to a dry and secure engine bay location and you're done.

The biggest challenge is trimming the projector trim ring to fit your headlights but again, not a huge deal.

It's not the ballasts per se' it the igniter, ballasts, finding space for them and having to bake the headlights. I'm fairly mechanically and electrically inclined, just looking for an easier route if one exists.

Igniter is built into the ballast, it's one box with one wire in and one wire out. Finding space for them under the hood of a 4cyl Accord it should be easy. The morimoto mini's don't require mounting to the headlights or any modifications to the light housings. The go in the front and have a retaining nut on the back that holds them in place.

The easier route is paying someone else to do it or blinding other drivers by putting HID bulbs in your normal housing. One is expensive, the other is wrong.

Nothing has been done to the lights yet! ALOT of things has happened in such a short period of time. I'm thinking about buying another Acura, more interested in a CL this time. I really miss Acura and a second vehicle is needed in my life about now, so ive been on the look out for a CL.

So far the accord hasn't needed anything but oil changes. Rear brake pads need to be replaced they are starting to squeak. I need new tires all around especially with winter around the corner. I know I should be on a accord forum but they are not as active as Acurazine.

I did have a question about wheels fitting on my accord I found on craigslist. Here is the link to the ad, https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/pts/5198484489.html Would these wheels fit with no problem or would I have to adjust anything? Seller didn't post any specs so that's what made me come here and ask you guys.

^ Straight bolt on. Those are the 18" RGR-16D HFP Alloy Wheels designed specifically for your generation (8th) Accord. 5x114.3 bolt pattern. 18x7.5 size. +55 offset.

Those tires (Michelin Pilot HX MXM4) suck ass though.

When I thought things could get any worse I woke up to this morning!

Dont know if I have to replace the whole bumper panel or they can just patch up whats damaged?

People are saying it needs to get replaced because its cracked. It cracked right at the end of the metal support bar behind the panel is.
Question is I called a part shop which is called Certifit and they have a unpainted bumper panel for $74.50. Has anyone used any parts from this place? I'm just confused on what to do here. I can go through insurance but the deductible is $1,000 and my rates will go up if i did use them. So now im stuck!

I would think a decent body shop could pull the bumper off and do some fiberglass repair work, paint and put back on. Again this is only based on what I can see in the picture.

Here's a closer look if it helps at all.

Hmmm. My daughter had the front license plate and frame ripped off and out of the front bumper as a car scraped across her perpendicularly. So if you can envision a 3' left to right scrape mark with two through and through holes from the licenses plate frame in the front bumper. Body shop said $500 cash fix or $1000+ for new bumper and paint.

Just put a rear tow hook on and call it a day

or cover it with a JDM sticker

or check local pick a part yards. I'm sure someone has a 2011-2012 (black) bumper cover.
