New 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sport!

Traded in my 05 3G TL A-Spec for more function
Any opinions on what to do to it first?

I'm thinking bigger wheels/tires, and offroad style bumpers first. The stock bumpers look really tacky to me.

After that probably a ram air intake and a magnaflow muffler. Can't really mess around with the full exhaust because of California laws =/

Congrats on the purchase, the billet looks awesome!

I have a 2013 JKU and love it. Most important question is how much wheeling are you going to do? Depending on your build... I'd suggest a 2.5" lift (teraflex and rock krawler make some great lifts) with 35s and skids. What gears do you have in your JK? 3.21 or 3.73?

I'd suggest checking out JKForum and Wranglerforum and joining your local Jeep club.

Let me know what you might be interested in and I can put in you contact with vendors that have great customer service and prices.

What he said

We have a 2010 and we love it. Not too sure on the 2014's... but I had read that the JK's are pretty good with airflow... so if you're going to do an intake, it's really b/c you want an intake. We just did a drop in K&N.

But definitely get some wheels and tires on that puppy along with a lift. Oh... and have fun

PS - here's my wife's toy posed with my FJ (showing off our FabFours bumpers)...

I got the 3.21 6speed... I honestly know nothing about jeeps or the gearing, I've just always wanted one so I went for it. Thanks for the advice! I was looking at Teraflex the other day and I likey.

No problem, Teraflex makes some pretty good kits. If you're not wheeling too much, you can get a leveling kit and 33s. 33s on a JK will be plenty, plus you won't have to worry about regearing and other suggest mods when you go with a bigger/heavier tire/wheel combo.

Here's my rig

That is sick. I should have gotten an Unlimited :P Hopefully i'll be able to do that stuff in a few years, I got in an accident during training and jacked up my back. One of the main reasons I was getting tired of my 3G. A-Spec suspension is not very friendly to a back injury. The JK is so comfy though! Rides like butter!

I'll have to read up on gearing and all that, so I know what you're talking about :P

Yeah, we like them on both vehicles. Great company to work with. We actually loaned them our vehicles for test fits. The one on the JK is customized. If you go to their site you'll see the bumper with no bars, and one with light and grill guard. We only wanted the grill guard and they said they'd do it. So not sure if it's a one of a kind from them... but it could be!
