Or how about door #3.....15-20mm spacers on the stock wheels to make it flush with the fender. I actually like the stock wheels and this would be the cheaper/cleaner route.

Thoughts?

Meh, I'm not a huge fan of those stock wheels so I wouldn't vote for option #3. Save your pennies and get an aftermarket set.

^Money is not the issue. I just can't fully tell myself buying $3000 wheels for 4-5 good months makes sense. LOL

Have you looked into getting a used set? Craigslist or other forums?

Not fond of buying used, especially wheels unless they're from a reputable member of a website. Too much value to risk potential disaster. As I said money is not the issue so I would buy new anyway.

Well if money isn't an issue, making yourself happy is worth it right? There are many more things in life that cost way more than $3k.

You seem content with your stock wheels though so I'm not sure what you should do

I'm plenty happy w/out wheels. I know if/when I pull the trigger I won't regret it. It's just the time leading up to buying them is what is killing me. Ha

If money was no issue you'd have no problem shelling out $3k for summer wheels right?

I'm a pretty patient person but damn, waiting 4-6 weeks for wheels to be made is killing me! Definately will be worth the wait though.

In for the pix with the new wheels. A bit of a hijack though... I've watched this vid like 20 times. I don't care for the IPL G but Vossen did a nice job with this one.

Thanks. With the new wheels, it should finish off the look I am aiming for.

I thought of you when I hit the "buy" button. I thought you may want my stockies. Unfortunately when you live in Chicago and through the winters, the odds of using the stockies for winter are very high. I don't have your AZ winters. lol

I almost got a deal on a set of G37 18"s off of eBay but they were pretty curbed so I passed. The guy was local, too. I don't blame you for keeping them. Damn those Chicago winters!

Are you still looking for them even with the Mazda? You can also sign up for www.MyG37.com and post in the "wanted" section. Good group of people over there (not as good as Acurazine lol).

I'm not looking as hard since getting rid of the Accord, but yeah, the specs are dead on for the Mazda as well and obviously I love the design. With a baby due in less than a week, realistically the wheel purchase is going to be delayed for a bit anyway.

Messing around today while I had a couple minutes to spare.
Wheels should be in by next Friday (long story - 2nd wheel order).

What's sad is the journey bumper is nicer than the sport bumper. The journey bumper is what the prototype model was going around the car show circuit back in 2006-ish ...

Nice pics. I'm just curious what rims the OP ended up with.

If I had $3k burning a hole in my pocket, I'd get a used set of 20" Volks ... but that's me.

I love the journey bumper. Everyone praises the sport bumper and the fact that mine is more rare and disliked makes me like it even more. LOL

Hopefully in a week I'll have the wheels on. Should make the car a new animal. I have to go to Vegas first

Loving every minute in it so far. No warranty work needed after 20k miles. Just regular oil changes. AWD works great in the winter considering I drive a lot for work.

Kind of been holding out on that.
I can say that I originally bought Forgestar 3pc forged wheels and had a horrible experience (will make a new thread on the story later). Awaiting my refund and in the mean time bought another wheel in stock and should be here by Friday.
