Some pics of me and the silver on red SLS AMG: (i removed those silly yellow fog overlays based on azine comments)

^^ overfill, looks like i basically have twice as much oil as needed if you consider where the empty and full dots are located

i would take the initiative, but the community garage has security patrolling on golf carts that will stop you from working on your car (spelled out in rental/condo contract language). they even lock the hose valves so you cannot wash your car - the "car wash" guy has the key to the valve, and will charge compact cars $25 to unlock the hose for a spray down i need to do all of my DIY jobs across the street, where i typically get harassed by cops passing through.

LOL! No it won't. I have done it before. Wear a rubber glove as well. Unscrew it untill you see some oil come out. You don't have to take the screw off all the way.

Installed one on my car. Easiest oil changes ever. A bit slow to drain but so what.

This is not how I understand it. The amount between "empty" and "full" is one quart. Say you have a 5 quart capacity. 4 quarts will barely or not even show on the dip stick. It looks to me like they put about 1 quart over.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but if I am halfway between the dots, half a quart fills it up perfectly.

That's pretty neat. I always hate trying to get the bolt out of the way in time. What's the warranty like on that valve?

How is your ISF on oil?
New oil looks gold. Oil with 5k miles on it looks dark brown. Oil with 100 miles on it looks.......dark brown!

Dont go to those shops anymore. Take it from someone who used to work at a Jiffy Lube. The shit Ive seen.....

Lifetime I think. It's not something that should wear out. I had one on an old Explorer I had for 50K miles at least.

Those valves are nice, but I like my magnetic plug for peace of mind.

I only trust two places to change my oil; a certified Hyundai dealer or me. Been doing it myself since '06 and knock on wood, I've yet to screw it up.

Been doing it myself since 96 or so...and won't go anywhere else. I hate having to trust people in general, never mind having to trust them with something I love and pride myself on.

AND wow to the Mercedes dude dropping it off to get an oil change. Fkn penny wise and pound foolish.

J.

Hand built motor getting an oil change at jiffy lube.
