No offense dude but if I had a car with wheels like that - I'd park it on the street with a "steal me" sign on it, keys in it, and hope my insurance is good.

Hey I go to school in Rochester. What school are you going to be at? And why would it get stolen? Rochester is a lovely city.

Don't take this the wrong way, but without the wheels, the car doesn't look especially theft-attracting.

Take them off and get some winter wheels and tires for like a thousand bucks. You will have $6,500 left over.

My car looks more out of the ordinary than yours, and I park it everywhere. Lansing, East Lansing... even DETROIT!! You're accusing others of being sheltered, but I think you need to stop being so spoiled and face reality. Nothing personal... but you're acting like your TSX will be stolen in a heartbeat if you parked it on a street somewhere, and you're looking into an Audi as a winter beater at age 20? Good for you that you have the money to do it, but it just doesn't make sense. Besides, who says a winter beater has to be AWD? You can get a fuel efficient FWD car with good snow tires (wait... isn't your TSX a fuel efficient FWD? ) and you'll be fine. Like I said, get some winter wheels and tires for like a grand and have money left over, instead of having to pay out the ass for the maintenance of two cars.

It's also funny that his 'JDM transformed' car is 'sponsored' by a company that's based in Kentucky

...and having survived a few Rochester winters in my FWD CLS, I'd agree with Pure Adrenaline. You don't need AWD. I think you'll be surprised with snowfall out here. It gets reaaaaaaaaaaally fucking cold, but there isn't all that much snow. If you're looking for snow, take a drive out to Buffalo

Dude you have a nice car but it really isn't all that. You have nothing to be worried about.

Tint, alarm, stock wheels for winter. Done.

An alarm with an LED that flashes has been my best investment. I used to have two cars and there has to be very good reasons for it to last (your fun car gets 9mpg). It was almost a waste of money for me.

Drive the car. Enjoy it. Something is bound to happen to it eventually anyway.

Seriously dude, it's a TSX not an Enzo. Put some winter rubber on it, tint the windows, and you'll be fine. This is like a guy with a Trek buying a Huffy to ride to work....stupid!

It's definatly FAR from a show car

It's along the lines of the decalkits.com or house of boom sponsorships. Far from a true sponsorship. They are quite popular and if I recall include some free oil and stickers.

the majority of sponsorships these days are jokes. "put our decal on your car, we'll give you parts at 10% below MSRP"

It's getting pretty old. Everyone come to the defenses of people they don't know nor have ever had any interaction with.

That and the people asking for threads to be locked because they are becoming controversial and off the initial topic (i.e., this thread).

When did Off-Topic jump the shark and become so pussified?

As do I. However the vast insurgency of younger cry babies has changed this place.

Still the best way to waste time at work and at home though.

People just get so offended, and they do it so quickly... dunno about the a4 to stay on topic...

I have my modified TL up in salem oregon, which is the meth capital of the united states, and also is a state capitol. so we have lots of government workers, the state jails, as well as the halfway houses, all within 10 miles of eachother. its run down, there are car thefts every week at my school. but listen, if you have a nice car, people arent going to steal it, they may key it or try to jack your stereo. but its high profile to jack a nice tsx or tl in areas such as salem, just puta window tint on here, and you should be fine. If u want it in the snow, some steels and thats it. everyone is being pretty pussy about it, I have had the car for awhile up there, and nobody has even fucked with it at all. maybe im just scary

The "unreliability" of Audis is greatly overstated. We owned our last Audi for eight years and never had problem number one. I just bought another one actually. Stopped by the dealer to look at an A6 but fell for an A4 with the 3.2L V6, six-speed tiptronic, premium package , tech package and nav system. I haven't enjoyed driving a car this much in, well, never.

To his credit, given the trouble VW has, Audi is much better than it's parent company. But still no match for Japanese automakers or even many GM brands for that matter.

I hate when peope ignore statistics of thousands of other cars because their car has lasted a little bit longer, like it speaks for the entire brand
