the GS and the LS have the same motor. they're just trim levels. The GSR has The VTEC, Type-R is the best

ok,

LS has same motor as GS ...GS has leather interior.

GSR has a VTEC motor in it which makes it faster stock than the LS/GS

The Type R is obviously the fastest out of all of them....however...

if you are planning on forced induction you may want to think about the LS as it has been proven to respond better to turbo/super charging.

Good luck.

make sure the motor wasn't driven into the ground. Lotta kids out there think they're in a ferrari and beat the shit outta of these integra's. What year is it? 70,000 isn't a whole lot of miles on that engine. If you treat it right it'll run for 200,000.

I autocross with a few guys with Integras. I've driven an LS and a GS. It's okay if she's not gonna "hot rod it " or really get into it. my one buddy has a GS-R which on an Integra stock scale 1 being a POS and 10 being DANNNNNNG. I'd give it like an 8 and type R a 9.5. The Type R in it's day was the pioneer for the WRX Sti and Evo 8. It was the poor boy's vette.

I have this Best Motoring tape (pic below) comparing both the DC3 and DC5 ITRs and the DC5 totally outperformed the DC3. The USDM RSX-S is not as sharp as the DC5 ITR.

I have a 2001 LS. The 2000 and 2001 models are bulletproof ... people said "it's getting old!" past 1999 but they last few years had no recalls and are well-built.

Yes, the 140 hp engine in the LS/GS is DOHC.

Very reliable, well built, practical and sporty cars with high insurance. Economical on fuel and maintenance though.

Past 100 mph, the engine makes a lot of noise but it's not bad or anything.
A Honda engine is quite happy at 4000 rpm. Handling excellent.
[I've been told that past 90 mph, a Pontiac Grand Am/Oldsmobile Alero handles like crap. That's funny because you see so many of them going that fast, say, between Detroit and Lansing on I-96.]

I have an '00 Integra Type R, and I'll tell you its by far the most fun car I've EVER driven; and I've driven ALOT of cars! The only other car that comes close or is slightly better IMO is an EVO. It has been completely reliable; except for a few tranny issues; but warranty covered that! If you can find any I would highly suggest it, but as far as safety goes; be careful! This car has given me headaches because of fckin ricers. I get a lot of looks and this is a highly stolen vehicle. You have to be extremely careful where you bring it; because its not safe anywhere! Thieves are def. on the look out for this car and as a matter of fact one of my buddies og. '97 R was stolen right out of his driveway in a somewhat upperclass neighborhood. So caveat emptor!

I'd never own a EVO I've driven one after 30-35 k on the odometer the clutch craps out.
Now as far as the Type R is fun to drive. I agree with that 100%. however have you drove a 05 RSX Type S. It's right up there man.

I have an 04 Type-S, its fun and all, but i just miss my torque out of my old 3.0

Also had a 96 GSR and that was a fun car, and with the bolt-ons I had on it I think it would take my RSX
