The J35A8 is not one of the more common of the J35 engines; they are available but not terribly inexpensive. Try car-part.com; I see prices up in Canada for relatively low mileage engines ranges between $1,800-$2,400; I think you'll find putting in a complete engine will be better/faster/cheaper than buying a short block.

Your best bet is a full long block. There's 2 available out of a 05' RL (same J35A8) on car-part.com. One is in Nanaimo & the other is in Richmond. You'd have to call for pricing..

I did find those too RL engines Thanks
Am i correct in saying that the RL / Honda accord V6 and Honda odyssey V6 all share the same short Blk J35A8?
Trying to find a TLS short Blk is not looking too promising .

Cheers

I do not know of the later Odyssey J35 blocks are the same as the J35A8 (they might be), but the J35A8 was never put into any Odysseys.

Definitely not the same short block internally. J35A8 is only out of an 07/08 TL-S or 05-08 RL. Depending on the year of the Accord/Odyssey you "could" make it work since they'd bolt up to your trans.

Another option, would be a J37A1 out of a 07+ MDX. Extra tq is always a plus & they pop up decently priced every so often if you look around. Also, a direct drop in. There's one in Chilliwack for $1500 cdn with 220k km.

Agreed, when I said "block", I meant bare block, no crank, pistons, rods, nuthin'.
