Need advice, $5500, would you..?
I am looking to pick this up for $5500. Seems to be well maintained, I just want to be sure it will be reliable. I really only need it to commute to and from school (~30 miles round trip).
It looks like it could be fun, I know I can go the safe Honda route but the thought alone just bores me..
Check it out, let me know what you guys think.,

Sonic Yellow is sweet!
I've contemplated on pulling the trigger on a white bugeye wagon with high mileage for some time now. I figured if the motor blows I would just replace with a newer one. Then I would have a bugeye with a low mileage wagon. Just beware of the tranny at that mileage, they tend to be like glass. When I bought mine new in '04 I had issues with fourth gear not engaging without grinding, this was only after 10K miles. Just do a thorough check and if everything is good, I say pull the trigger on this. Good luck!

That's the dilemma I'm in. Not sure which to believe. But I'm thinking if it lasted 140k+ miles and is still shifting good than it might be ok?

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Drive it then buy it. The tranny's in those normally get abused hence glass. If it shifts smooth, you'll be fine.
