Disconnecting the front sway bar is huge for an off road vehicle but obviously make the vehicle less safe on road at higher speeds. You should see if ou can get fsb quick disconnects so you can unhook it and reattach it in seconds. Disconnecting it allows better suspension movement and greater flex over obstacles.

Isn't a waterfront home more valuable?

Glad you didn't get anything flooded out, and that the Xterra was useful.

I know. Sadly too much or too little water is devastating. Texas was in drought for 4 years though.

It actually has gone down by quite a bit, and a lot faster than I expected. Water control projects have become a reality ever since Tropical Storm Allison in 2001. You can see the difference. Prior to Allison, nobody seemed to care. Now, every major construction project has an accompanying drainage improvement project.

But the retaining ponds and streams are all full so it will take a lot less rain to restart the floods again.

hoping that we dont get drenched any more this week, as the grounds are saturated..
Good to hear you're ok too. The SW side took the brunt of this storm front.

The XTerra has an independent front suspension. A few people have tried removing the front sway bar and did gain good travel, but ended up blowing the shocks pretty quickly.

The rear sway bar does limit articulation and is not very useful since the truck has a solid rear axle. People remove those completely, but I haven't run into a situation where I needed the flex so mine is still on.

I like it, as long as Tx DOT can figure out a way to run a ferry so I can get to places.

The mosquitoes will be brutal though.

Next mod is a snorkel kit?

Adding proper drainage to construction projects is key and that's one of the biggest things around here. Drainage is excellent for everything and collection ponds and reservoirs are all over. If we didn't have it, the whole city would be under water after every snow melt.

It has a tune from Hennessey and sounds ridiculously mean. I drove it and was very impressed. My girlfriend is thinking of getting a Fiesta ST (FiST) or a FoST. Haven't decided yet.

Also, it's also not his only car. It is merely his daily driver...........

I bought my 911 Turbo from him when he upgraded.

I've thought about it. But they require drilling into the fender. And until this flooding, I hadn't planned on making water crossings.

They're also ugly.

Damn, that's a really nice stable!

I would highly recommend the FiST or FoST. Depends on the size you need. Test drive them both and see which one she likes better.

Most unassuming guy ever. He started an IT company many years ago and they now provide networking/IT services for 4 school districts in the area, among many other clients.

We've driven the neighbor's FoST and she likes it. She wants a Tangerine Scream one. However I've been telling her to go for the Green Envy FiST because we're mainly looking to cut commuting costs but still have a fun ride. I don't think the FoST will get us any significantly better mileage than what she's getting right now with the CL-S (29 mpg!).

We haven't test drove the FiST yet. My personal thing is to not buy a new car, so if a choice used one pops up somewhere, I'll be checking it out.
