I'm sorry for your frustration. However, in all the forums Mods browse, we are supposed to close and move threads to their appropriate destinations. In this case, you're very lucky that there is a forum specifically for just this type of thread. In some cases there are not. If a thread was inappropriately posted in model-specific forums (ie: 1st Gen TL, 2nd Gen, etc), they would be closed and/or moved as well. This is no different, as you are aware there is an appropriate location for this thread already. Redirect will stay in Ramblings for viewings to see and link up to new location...many of your favourite members have already viewed it here and know to follow the link as well.
EDIT: And the notice that it would be moved was more of a heads-up so you wouldn't throw a hissy fit wondering where it went. Most of the time they are simply moved. Thought you'd appreciate prior notice.
Thanks again.

hmm, I never drove either. Fuck that actually...If I am going to get an SUV I rather just have the Jeep.
The pickup truck would be sweet I think. I wonder how loud they are at 85mph.
you said something funny in another thread, and I was cracking up....I forgot what it was though.
I hate buying a car.

ahh fuck it, someone felt they had to be a pain in the ass and move it.
if we are having a discussion about random cars and our opinions on them, why can't it be in ramblings...

I've driven the Dakota for work. I was in it for a 7 hour trip. It is an absolute POS for the interior I think. For my tastes, you sit too upright in it and the seats are funny shaped. I had SUCH a sore back, and the sound system blows to make things worse. It's even worse in any GM truck. Oh yeah and GM's interiors make me think they comissioned Fischer-Price to build them they're so plasticky. Ford has nicer interiors, but again with the upright seating. And the Ridgeline looks funny so I don't think you'd consider that either.
I really like the "sport fabric" in the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner cab. I think Toyota has some of the nicest cloth for cloth seats in the industry. The X-Runner model I think is the best. You get a lot of stuff in it like a leather wrapped steering wheel, power everything and a 6 speaker, 6 cd changer system. Oh and a power rear window. Trust me the power rear window is sweet. I had a 4Runner that had one once. You'll use it more than you think.
The price is right too. The X-Runner is a 4.0L V6 (245hp@5200, 282lb-ft@2300) that only comes in a 6spd manual (don't know if this a huge disadvantage to you). It's $23110. It only comes in RWD though for that model. If you want 4x4 try another model of Tacoma. Towing capacity is 3500lbs. Fuel economy is 16/21.

My Brother just upgraded from an 03 Tacoma v6 to a 05 Tacoma 4cly... He liked the new body style, the extra features, and wanted to save some more on gas...
Tacoma's are pretty inexpensive, have a decent resale value, and are a great bang for the buck...

Okay I'm a truck owner: I got a 02 Tundra regular cab 4x4 4.7 v-8. I love it. good mileage, good ride,it's dependable, and it does everything I want it to do.
Now trucks I'd suggest to you: first question You gotta ask yourself is how much are you going to be hauling/towing.
If not much then go with a compact truck. personally i tow loads in the 3.5-4ton range on occassion. I have a lawn care service and we'll load the shit out of trailer with mulch and pull it.
now after we go to question 2: Does the truck see much off road or snow.personally I live out in the country where the snowplow might come down the road at the most once a day. If you don't have 4x4 in the winter forget it. after owning a 2wd truck to owning a 4x4 truck I don't even test drive 2wd trucks anymore
question 3: How much does mileage matter to you? To me It's pretty important. It's not to the point I'd go down to a v-6 but I wouldn't own a new Dodge Hemi. I got a 05 2500 4X4 4 door Ram for a rental when my tundra was in the body shop. i used it 2-3 days. on 90% country road/highway driving I got 10 mpg. no towing I couldn't ever own one.
question 4: Do you like or perfer imports vs domestic? Personally I like imports a little better. Their quality i feel better. but If you need something heavy like a diesel you'll have to go with a domestic.
question 5: What truck body style(s) do you like?
me personally:for 05: I don't like the new Tundras(I like my older front end Tundra better), the Titan okay, I don't like the F-150s, I like the Ford Super Dutys, The Silverados are HORRIBLE(probably the worst in the truck catagory), I like the GMC Sierra(their the old Silverado body style which I liked and Chevy ruined them), I don't like the new Dodge Ram.
