My next vehicle...
So as a few of you may know, my CL is sold.
I've found me a new vehicle and I am in talks with the seller, hoping to put the bow on the deal. The deal should be closed by the end of next Sunday.
Until then continue lurking the forums...

I DO HAVE FAIL! THANKS FOR REMINDING ME!!!
No advice needed, soon the reveal will happen. Many will walk away disappointed.
Hell yes. I wanted to take revenge on the community for all the other tease threads
Thanks!
Three word answer.
Maybe, maybe not... At this point, no one can be certain any more.
Now that the batch of replies is out of the way, pictures and reveal to come by Tuesday night. Deal was finalized today, papers signed, money exchanged hands, two undercover agents were snapping photos in an unmarked crown-vic and I take delivery tomorrow.
I may be feeling nice enough tomorrow to throw up a picture or two...

Can we at least get a hint? Foreign/domestic, sedan/coupe, etc?

It was... but then a big-rig backed into it...
Foreign, Japanese. Two tone paint-job (red/black). It has wheels, an engine, um... lights..a horn, signals. Takes gasoline... that's all I'm going to say for now

Nope. You are very close though, it does have the red and black color scheme, wheels, brakes, turn signals, various other lights, dual exhausts, mirrors and two seats
Seems like I have to wait till ~ 5PM Monday to take delivery I hate waiting...

Waiting on my buddy to give me the 2nd half of the money for the CL so I can spend it on the following:
Baseball Cap oooooooooooor a Sombrero
Wifebeater
Shorts
Flipflops
and
a hefty hospital bill..
In all seriousness, Bell RS-1 Solid Helmet / A* GP-R Jacket / A* Track Leather Pants/ A* SMX-5 Boots/ A*SP-1 Gloves / Forcefield Back Protector Pro Sub 4 . (A* is Alpinestars). My wearable gear is going to be almost $1900 from Revzilla, close to what I paid for the bike
I am trying to get a mostly white gear setup as A) I want to be seen and B) I want a white/red R6 later on.
The most annoying part is no riding until spring I am waiting for the MSA course to start up so I can drop their bike and learn basic stuffs that will keep me from going splat on the freeway. I refuse to ride until I have all the proper gear and that course under my belt.
Also not sure if windscreen tinted or just my phone taking silly pictures. Proper pictures will most likely come tomorrow when I go to rev the engine a few times before winterizing it.

As of spring, yes. I can foresee something like 15 - 20k km being put on before the end of summer 2013 granted I don't go getting myself killed.
I also managed to find the YouTube channel of the original (?) owner while looking for mods. Seems like he put on the flush mounts, did the fender eliminator and the road lamps.
Here are the road lamps, they come on when the bike is set to "ON" but before it is started.

I will have to get a pickup or suv later on down the road, but it is not necessary as of right now... one of the perks of living at home is that I get to steal mom's car

Nice man, I've been considering doing the exact same thing. Except I drive a gas guzzling v8. Thinking about picking up a ninja similar to that for a month or so then picking up a f4i repsol. I'd probably be able to buy a car for around 14k at the time too. Mainly for poor weather days and necessary to have passengers with me. Living in Texas riding a bike is slightly more year round. We are in the 80's right now

Now I am waiting on rear frame sliders, 3 pairs of keys and the LED's for the cluster upgrade. I can't wait for spring and also to get good enough for a 600cc + bike.

Dont rush into a sportbike.
I did with the Triumph. Loved the bike, but too much and I didnt trust myself. Ill stick to my 24 year old standard

Not sure if you were saying to not rush to me or to d-townhakuzo but I plan on giving it a full 2 years before I get my own true sportbike. I may just get an FZ6 or a CBF600 as they seem to have a much more upright riding position / slightly less power and less of a chance to get myself into deadly situations... Then again, I planned to give myself time on the CL until its wheels fell off.

You won't really save money switching over to a sport bike as your sole commuter (the only exception might be a Ninja 250).
They require more maintenance than a car and don't get great mileage. A 600 SS will get around 40 mpg, which is not very spectacular when you consider everything you are giving up.
I have owned at least one sport bike for the past 6-7 years. They are fine for an occasional ride. It would be punishing to have one as your only transportation. But then again your commute might be different from mine.

Both, mostly d-town though if he has never ridden in the past. Theres no way you can learn enough in one month to go out and get a sportbike. I mean, its only an F4i, but its still quick.
I dont think I could daily a sportbike. The riding position is very aggressive and the seats generally suck. Seeing that your commute is ~35mins though, you may be fine. I on the other hand couldnt do my usual 100+ miles per day on a sport bike.
'88 Honda NT650. Its undergoing a transformation at the moment, and has been for over a year now. I bought a 2008 Daytona 675 back in 2010 and sold it a few months ago. I got a hell of a deal on it, so I was lucky enough to break even on it Fun, surprisingly comfortable bike, but too fast for me. Im a wimp when it comes to bikes though.
