now all u guys got me scared , i hope this works out the way i want it too and its not a scam or sumin like that
it all seems legit based on just common sense so far,
he said the finance company that he put me on to in NY will call on monday, to finalize all the paperworks ,so hopefully all goes well
he says he the sale manager for a high end dealership that deals with "exotic cars"
Every time i call his dealership,a different secretary answers , so it seems legit or they are running a really big scam
Honestly, i really cant vouch for them, since this is my 1st time and i am taking a risk, but im just hopeing for the best now
so far all i did was wire 1500 to the real owner of the car
and he said the finance company will call me back monday and let me know what else is left to do, i called the number to the finance company and i got the message because the office was closed, but it sounded like a real company
You guys call and let me know what you think

Don't trip dude. I'm sure you can contact ebay in regards to the sale if something goes wrong. The sellers are required to give a lot of info before being able to post something up to sell. If they do scam you out of money, I'm sure there would be some sort of action you could take to find these people and get your money back through ebay. It's not like this is a craigslist post or anything.
Good luck w/ everything, and enjoy the car. Congrats, it looks really nice!

oops, my bad man, I may have spoken too soon. It doesn't seem like the seller has sold many, if any, cars on ebay. All it says is native american quilts and whatnot with some land rover banners or something.....
Ummm, for peace of mind, you might wanna ask a local AZiner to go check out the car for you and take pics and possibly get a carfax yourself.

i have to fly or have someone fly down for 5000 dollar cars, can't trust anyone these days really
and if you're buying it at 48200 and not the 49000 winning bid, then are you purchasing it through ebay or not?...sounds confusing to me, but ohwell
..anyways enjoy your purchase, and please don't put a grill anywhere near the m3

Hands down, M3's are amazing. That is just an opinion. But at age 20, $50,000, and wire transfer, seems like a big risk. Also, as one member said, shit happens. Your plan might not go the way you would like it to. Also, this is something I'm not completely convinced you considered, BMW's in general are a lot of maintenance. M3's are even more. Are you sure you can pay for all that? I'm not doubting you, but I think this was a bit of an impulse. But enjoy it

Way tooo many "he said" in that statment...a flight to and back is maybe $200 bucks. He sounds like a typical salesman, dont believe a word he says, fly down and do it right, might save yourself trouble in the long run.

What the name of his high end dealership? Google is a powerful tool once you know the name of it.
Why did you wire transfer money to the pirvate owner of the car if its being sold through the dealer? The bank is making the check out to the private owner or the dealership?
Ill go look at the car if you pay for my gas money. Dont forget the M3 is a thirsty bitch!

Same address/contact and does have some high end cars.
I would say dont do it unless seeing it first or having someone see it, looks like it can go either way.
1580 Ogden doesn't show that on the map

This establishes that the seller of the BMW has at least two ebay user names. why?

Dave, you've been on this board a lot longer than I have.
Use your common sense.
As soon as you posted the name of the seller, Synth (whose been a member for along ass time) chimes in with threads about Chris Hill and Joe Hill. Now I find that pretty fucking weird that your seller and his scammers are named the same, don't you?

It's not worth the risk. Back out if you still can and forget about the deal. I'm sure you'd be happier with more money in your pocket than an M3 that might not even exist.

Lesson learned.... don't post a "New car!!!" thread until you actually have the car in your driveway.

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
You would be better off trying to get one at auction, if you really want one that bad.... Try and get the $1500 back, and if that is all you lose, then you are lucky.
Also, get with the three big credit reporting companies (Trans Union, Experian, and Equifax) and be sure no one opens a line of credit in your name. With allof your info, they could do that. Put out a fraud alert and give them that address. It may help.
