Yeah, those were made by a guy in MA. He made some cool stuff. The sway bar mounts are also made by him.

Not to sound sacreligious but have you ever done/thought of a LS swap into one of these? My buddy just bought a excellent RX-7 and is immediately ripping out the rotor and putting in a turboed LS3.

Here is the car that he bought:

Here is the LS car that he just finished and sold to buy the RX.

I've known Hinson Supercars (whom popularized LSx FDs) before he finished his build. I also had one of my best friend who built one with heads and cam that made well over 400 at the wheels. I have nothing against the LSx FD... but just as my friend painted, built it, upgraded, etc, only to sell it couple of months later to pick up an Z06. These days, Z06s are cheaper and contains more modern amenities and some comes with warranty. I would probably buy an 06+ Z06 before I spent the time trying to built an LSx FD. Also, seems everyone wants to stuff an LSx into anything import these days...

Not quite my dream but maybe one day I'll own one.

I'm debating about the interior and test fit the Takata Harness on the Spirit R Recaros.

Let me know what you prefer?

Also, got my VS-XX refinished/powder coated and put new Toyo T1-Sport tires. I've heard great things about these and can't wait to test them out.

Past couple of days, I decided to strip off my spare RZ hub assemblies and fix up the rotor back plates and such.

Fronts fixed and degreased... Test fitted the new DBA rotors.. Shaved some metals so DBA rotors can freely spin.

Rears fixed and degreased

My good friend Bryan from BNR Supercars is going to let me use his cabinet to blast the rust and such off so I can get the prettied up today.

Also, I received some goodies from Turbonetics.

Their GT-K 1050!!!!

Momentary diversion:

Saw a RX-8 on the road the other day with the license plate - "MYWANKL" - thought that was cool.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled awesome thread.

I'm currently putting the car together for SEMA and I can't upload all the stuff that's going on..

I'll make this short and share 2-3 pics.. including the render done by amazing artist and designer, Greg Thompson. He did an amazing job rendering the car with few pics I sent him and list of goodies I was going to put on. Just amazing work!! Since its so close to SEMA, I'll share the render to give you guys an idea what it will look like (exterior).

Hint of couple of parts..

I'll update the full car on my way to SEMA..

Well see how fast it will be.. 2600lbs 700-800 WHP... we'll see though if I can achieve that or not..

Update - November 8th, 2012

I'm going to try to share my experience over the past 2-3 weeks of putting the car together to, journey across the USA to SEMA Las Vegas, to Journey back.

I'll try to go through the journey over next 2-3 days.. And I promise you guys, there will be ton of pics

To start, I was waiting for my paint and body guys Jonathan Goolsby and his crew to paint the body so I could start working on the car.

Paint we've chosen was BASF Mercedes AMG Imola Grey Metallic with hint of darker tint.

Here is a picture of the car before and after the shell was painted.

Car at this point had nothing on it except stock suspensions and some old school VOLK wheels to roll the shell around.

More coming when I get some more photos uploaded..
