Man i can't wait see this all in one piece and done.

Where you from? My cousin is stationed in new orleans at the moment. His rx7 is silver, i think he is still on a set of black HP wheels, probably must noticeable thing about his is the lights in the bumper are off the newer rx7 that wasn't sold in the us. I remember riding with him and people offering over $500 for them on the spot

The biggest giveaway was only 1 picture, no description other than "car runs perfect"

I'm in Alabama.. Hmm, I know a lot of FD owners through my event. You should tell him to attend it next year.

At this point, I'm still deciding on the color. But nothing flashy since its already kind of bad with all the body parts.

Here is something rare for the car..

Defi Super Sport Cluster.. very few in usa and I should be one of the first to put this in an FD here in USA.

I been wanting to get this for about 8 yeears and Defi never sold this here and never sold this off the shelf in Japan. It was specific Dealer only unit in Japan where it had to be installed in a car by the authorized installer in Japan. All the ones that are here in USA were used units and this is a brand new unit.

Awesome build! The RX-7 was one of my favorite cars in the 90's, and it's amazing how well it's aged.

I'm bias but I agree with you. I graduated high school in early 90s, just as NSX, 300Z, Supra, and RX-7s are coming to the market.. I've always wanted to own an NSX while I was in college but when I finally could afford them, owners of the NSX totally turned me off. I ended up picking up my 1st FD back in 99 and since, I've met amazing group of friends who knew a lot about cars. But you are right, people who doesn't know much about cars are shocked when I tell them its 20 years old. They think its some new model car..

Cosmo too

Personally I prefer the standard RX-7's lines.... the Veilside RX-7 kit is one of a handful from them that I actually like, but then the front end make it looks like a kit car

When I first heard about this unit, a long time ago.. I searched everywhere on the net to gain bit more info. I actually had a friend who speaks Japanese translate the wiring diagram and I been translating the user manual..

I do like Veilside kit.. But I consider it to be bit more touring look vs. track look.

Wheels and tires that are going on this car..

WORK CR Ultimate, 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear.

TOYO R888 tires, 255/30 front and 295/30 rear

Mounted and load balanced. I already test fit this set up and tested for speed on my other RX7.
