So I've had a leak in my tire for a while now all I would do is pump it every 3 days and it would be fine. I've been meaning to get it fixed but just haven't have the time. So today afterschool I didn't have work or anything so I decided to stop by my local Justtires to get it repaired. I pull in and let the mechanic know that one of my tires have been leaking air and I just want to get it patched. He says okay and I go in and talk to the sales manager, he says it'll be 30 bucks and I'm fine with that. So they pull my car in and start to work on it. I'm sitting walking around the store just looking at things when I decide to go ahead and take a look at how he's doing. I take a peek and everything seems to be fine. So I go walk around outside since I get a little bored..well I notice that the mechanic stops what he's doing and walks back in the store and talks to the manager secretively as if they didnt want me to hear what they were talking about. I think nothing of it and continue to walk around, the mechanic goes back and I go check what hes doing. I ask him " so whats up with the tire" and he tells me that its my valve stem and tells me there's a crack in it. I look at it and its completely snapped in half! Im life wth happened and he tells me that it was probably like that. I tell him no way it was like that...he goes in and talks to the manager and says that he's going to go buy another one from another store...I let it go since I just want my car back now. I walk over to the mall ( justtires is right next to a mall ) and visit my old employees, I come back 30 mins later and their working on my tires again. He puts the rim back on but doesnt patch the damn leak or anything! So he takes another 20 mins to fix that. By this time I'm pissed off because I had to wait about an hour and a half...I talk to the store manager and let him know how long I've been waiting he says he's going to give me 10 dollars off. I tell him that they also broke my steel valve stem off....and he offers me that the patching will be free. I'm fine with that, so now I go home I was just about to get some lunch when I remeber that I never got my key for the lug nut back I call them back and they tell me that they put it in my trunk, which is total BS since I just finished checking my trunk. I look at the valve stem and its like half an inch longer than the other ones that I have. He tells me to bring the car in so he can look at it, so thats what I do. He looks through the trunk and cant find the key and has the nerve to tell me they dont make valve stems like mine anymore. I have rays valve stems so their pretty expensive..I get pissed off now since they wasted so much of my time and ask them what their going to do with my key and my stem. He tells me to go to the dealership and get a replacement and he'll reimburse me for it. I talk to him about the stem and he refuses to get me another one since he said that its because its an aftermarket wheel and all this BS. Now I'm PISSED i tell him " you guys do specialize on tires right so what the fuck is the problem here" he tells me that all he can do is pay me for the wheel lock and whatever. So I tell him I'll be back I drive to my local dealer and get one. The dealership tells me It'll be 26 dollars and I ask the consultant to jack the price up since I'm not going to be paying for it. He laughs and tells me he'll charge me 40 for it. So I purchase it and leave now I go back and get my money back, and to my suprise the manager left already so I had to talk to that stupid sales associate again. He gives me the money and I leave. There is no way in hell I'm going back to this place again . Their just horrible! I'll probably be calling their corporate number tommorow.

Sorry for the long rant I just needed to vent

 

Dude, it would help a lot for us to read it if you used paragraphs. I spaced it out for you in honor of charliemike and for the sake of everyone else in Car Talk.

Good luck and when you complain to corporate be absolutely polite to them about it. And don't leave any specifics out.... I'm not sure if corporate gets back to managers about complaints (they should) but if discrepancies don't match they might believe the manager more than you. Hopefully it'll raise awareness in their company regarding training of their associates...

 

yah i should have put it in paragraphs and thank you for doing that for me. As far as corporate I think they should contact the manager about it, and usually with big companies the customers always right. But hey who knows, well find out today
