Well, I made it home alive!!! I did what F900 said and just followed the car in front of me....That car was a cop car, and he left me alone so I guess I did fine.
Here it is:
First, the money to buy the thing...4500 Pounds.....
LondonMore...Pop pop pop....
Here is why this is so funny...

I read the motorist guide and kept telling myself to keep left. I also read that as the driver, you want to always be closest to the divider of the road. I left the dealer, which is 4 miles away from home and just stayed alert....It was very strange, but after 2-3 miles, you start to feel ok....

Some more fun facts....
-Tank was empty when I bought it (damn used car dealer). To fill it up, it cost 50 pounds (roughly 100 bucks).
-The trunk is called the boot.
-Tires are spelled tyres.
-Its not called a hood, but I can't remember what it is called.

How about you take a trip and watch a live recording of Top Gear?... That's what I would do if I were that close

Are cars generally much more expensive in the UK?
Whenever I hear the price quoted for cars like the Holden GTO, Mazda RX-8, or Corvette on Top Gear it seems like the asking price in pounds sterling is almost what we pay in US dollars. I know the exchange rate is nowhere near 1:1 so I can't understand why these cars seem so expensive.

Thanks for the list Diety....Alot of those words are coming up...Im printing that out
Speedy...Everything in London is expensive. The exchange rate is nearly 2 to 1, meaning that the pound actually costs about two US dollars. And you comparison is correct, you go into a Starbucks and pay about 3 pounds for a coffee and think thats not too bad (3 bucks), but its really about 6 bucks. Basically everything is priced right if you pretend that the exchange rate is 1:1

Whiskers, did your wife's company pay for the car? When I was an expat in Mexico city, my company gave me a brand new Jetta to drive around, and I was merely an IT manager not an Investment banker...

This thread is now in loving memory of my 2002 European Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 5 door... Just sold it tonight for 1800 pounds (they got a good deal, even though I put a nice dent in it)...Wife's company will cover any loses in the sale so an easy sale > more money...
All in all a good car, almost makes me consider a Ford in the US (I like the Edge)...Almost...
