Question My friend looking to lease another car. Suggestions??

Her lease is about to end for her 07-08 Base TL.

I think she wants something cheaper than the TL as in payments.

Was paying $455 a month for the TL

Looking for a sporty car. Preferably a 4 door but is also fine with a 2 door

So any suggestions?

Sporty car for under $450 a month.

Assuming normal lease terms (including cap cost reduction)?

Accord V6 Coupe, Genesis 2.0T Coupe, maybe a GTI?

What's her buyout on the TL?

Make an offer, buy the car, drive it for a few more years.

Something to consider.

Genesis coupe would be the first one to come to mind. I'm surprised you didn't think of it, considering you drive one haha.

2011 Mustang, WRX or Ralliart... you could probably get some cheap payments on an Si sedan as well.

Mini Cooper S
128i (not sure how much it is in monthly payments)
A3?
Sentra SE-R (although it's not high on my list)
GTI/GLI
RX-8 for cheap, or a 'Speed3

How sporty is sporty?

You're not going to get a 2011 Mustang without going V6, barely any options for under $450. I have a Civic Si sedan at $300/month right now, Accord V6 Coupe is just about $50-60 more right now last I checked.

I meant V6, the new 305hp engine should be more than enough.

As much as she wants a sporty car, she'll tire of the Camaro quickly. It looks great on the outside and performs well, but it's a heavy car, I don't think city mileage will survive. Let's not even get into parking. And the IP is nice to look at once, not everyday.

Just my , great weekend car, not so good DD. I'd tell her to go with a Genesis first.

Make sure she test drives all the cars she's interested in, though.

She said preferably 4-door... so IMO best choice would be WRX, Ralliart, or GTI 5-door... or she could wait for the Mini Countryman.

Just grab a 2006 BMW 330I sedan with Sport pkg, fully loaded or a lightly optioned 2007 BMW328i sedan and be done. She'll get long-lasting enjoyment just because it's a BMW (until it goes to the shop to get fixed, that is...).
