NICE. I love the new M5's. I want one. Love the laugh too, isn't it great when a car makes you do that.

Like the color, like the exhaust note, hate the wheels and CF stuff. Does he have any Dinan power mods or just cosmetic stuff? Most Dinan power mods result in very little performance gain - EXCEPT the 335i chip package and the E39 M5 supercharger. I find it silly to put the Dinan stickers on the car if you're only pimpin cosmetic stuff.
I had the pleasure of attending the ///M school and got to drive the M5, M6 and Z4 M-coupes. Amazing cars out of the box. The engine sounds incredible. The only thing that disappointed me was you had to rev the shit out of it to get any power. I know it's all relative, but there is no torque down low in the revs and that makes daily driving a bit annoying. The examples I drove also had the SMG so that kinda sucked too.

Is it just me that thinks that whole premise of 'spend lots of money on our stuff and you get a sticker' is a load of crap? Or am I just having one of those days?

I'm sure it encourages people to spend more money just so they can have that little Dinan badge on the car.

If your vehicle is currently covered by the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty, Dinan products are warranted for the remaining term of the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty. The manufacturer’s new car warranty is limited to 4 years or 50,000 miles (80,000 kilometers in Canada), commencing on the date of first retail sale or the date the vehicle is first placed in-service as a demonstrator or company vehicle, whichever is earlier. Dinan’s warranties are transferable when ownership of the vehicle into which the Dinan products were originally installed is sold.

Dinans warrenty coincides with your new car warrenty, meaning that Dinan warrenties their parts for upto 4 yr/50k miles. If the car is older the parts have a 2yr warrenty, but this is still all through Dinan. The BMW warrenty does not recognize any aftermaket manafacturers besides BMWs own aftermarket parts and Alpina vehicles. I've asked field service engineers from BMWNA about this and they told me in no way due they warrenty Dinan parts or any damage one of Dinans parts may cause to a vehicle.

Takes a certain amount of disposable income to buy an M5 and say, "You know, I'm gonna need to mod this."
