How do you like the 6th gen Accord? Like as far as handling/acceleration is concerned.

I have a 7th gen 6MT coupe and I've been really pleased with it. I know the 6th gen's acceleration isn't as quick, but if you've driven the 7th is the handling similar? I've never ever driven a 6th gen.

I really like the back end of yours (ahh the baby NSX back end of the 6th gen), and I like what's been done with the wheels.

Clean car. Looks like you have a lot of pride in it. I've always liked the tail of the 6 gens as well. The way the tail lights flow together looks very attractive.

I like the looks of the 6th gen a lot but from a performance stand point it blows asshole. I made it handle way better though. Since I've got the car I've gotten some coilovers (on the stiffest setting) and a front strut bar plus some pretty meaty tires. My understeer isn't bad at all. I'm still not completely satisfied with how my car rides. I have Tein SS coilovers and they are too soft for my taste. I'm hoping to get some Apex'i coilovers or Megan coilovers sometime. I'm working on the looks though too. Today I did a DIY M3 spoiler mod where I placed it above the rear window. It looks pretty sick, I have to get some daytime pics. I'm going to get a Mugen replica front lip painted silver, new exhuast (Tanabe Hyper Medallion), some Mugen sedan sideskirts custom fitted painted silver, and a rear lip of some sort, tint... just stuff like that for looks.

I appreciate the comments you guys

Here's some exhaust pics for you Time For Sleeep

They sound like shit, I want to get rid of them so fast.

I love that car! I had that vehicle prior to trading for the TL. I had it in black, IMO they're the best accord coupe ever made (in terms of style)

I have driven both, and the difference is depending on each person. As for me, the 7th Gen is definitely quicker in terms of power. But the rear end of the 6th Gen is sexier and overall, I like the 6th gen much better in terms of style. Handling is slightly better for the 7th Gen but I'd prefer the 6th Gen.

It was pretty easy how I did it. You just roll down your window and mount the tripod legs along the car (two inside the window, one on the door) and have your camera on the end of it. Set the camera to the proper exposure time and put the timer on. After you've pushed the shutter release button just drive around in circles really slowly. This was at 2:00 AM in a parking lot so it was dark. The longer the exposure the more you can move around. I was going in a circle at like 2 mph in that picture but because the exposure was so long it looks like i'm going fast.

i hit that steering wheel hard as hell and my chest hurt for a week and all the hair on my arms was burned off from the air bag.

The 6G Accord coupe is the best looking Accord Coupe to date IMHO.

Dude that sucks. Was your sister's a 4 banger or a V6? Nearly all of them are slow... the only fast ones are the ones that aren't accords anymore really. On there's a guy on another forum who's running 12.9 on the 1/4 but his car has all these crazy mods.

The saddest thing is that the V6 could only be had with an automatic, and a 4 speed auto at that. Good thing they corrected that mistake for 2003.

Have you heard of anyone who's done an automatic to manual conversion on one of the 6th gens? There must be someone out there who has.

Yup there's a number of different swaps you can do. You can do a full 3.2 CL-S swap with 6 speed, use the 6 speed tranny alone from a CL-S, you can use the TL A-Spec tranny 6 speed, and suposedly you can use the 7th Gen 6 speed tranny.

I thought the TL, 7th gen Accord, and the CL-S 6 speed trannies were all the same?

That's cool that people have done it though.

If you want more info, youngTL, you can go to a certain Accord site but I can't post it here. PM me for more info. Oh and I'd trade for your car in a heart beat.

Very clean car. A nice exhaust that I saw was the Magnaflow full catback. I heard it was pretty quiet but I don't post much anymore on Accords so I don't know long term reviews. I've had my 2000 since 2000 and haven't done much to it lately. I have the Comptech mufflers and they drone at around 2000rpm but are fine for everyday use.

Sup Agranado. :hello:

I'm not sure if they are the same tranny, but they should all fit *shrugs*

J series engines ftw.

How come you can't post the names of another forum on here?

Just came back to the thread just now =P. I love your set up; I think you should paint the spoiler it looks alil' weird sittin' there unpainted.

Soundclips of the exhaust plz. They look so clean on the car; they look like Apex'i N1 (and from the looks of the Y-pipe) is full catback.

I'll bet they're loud as hell; I haven't seen that set up on an accord before. Usually Apex'i makes real good stuff =/.

My car is pretty quiet for having exhaust. I haven't gotten a good clip of the exhaust when it's warmed up, it's a bit deeper than when it's not warmed up... but it's raspy and it's not that loud. The mufflers are pretty good quality but I want some Tanabe Hyper Medallions
