My 2010 Mazda 6 Tech/Nav
Thanks guys. Yeah the Grand Touring model is pretty loaded, you get a lot of car for the money. As I mentioned in another post, my 6 has:

Now our garage looks like below...washed and waxed the MDX today and washed the 6...two clean black cars
- 3.7L 272hp V6 (87 octane!)
- navigation (touch-screen!)
- heated leather
- Bluetooth (with full-screen phone integration - love it)
- keyless entry
- push-button start
- blind-spot monitoring system (somewhat annoying, but defeatable)
- xenon heads/halogen fogs
- 6-spd automanual
- 18" wheels (probably the only set of wheels, out of 10 cars we've owned, that I won't swap out)
- real-time traffic
- Sirius/XM for a full 6 months free

Very nice 6! I love the exhaust tips as well as everyone else does. Very upscale looking sedan. Between this and the new Sonata, the Accord and Camry are being left behind in the design department.
I agree. Mazda pushes sales of the 3 for volume, but it seems they're coming around on the 6. With the CX-9, I think Mazda is proving that it can play in the almost-luxury game. It's forming a nice niche for itself and I, for one, am impressed. I LOVE this car and no way would ever consider a Camry or Accord (maybe an Accord V6).
In the past I've done engine swaps, headers, you name it...I'm an old 35 and with a new
this is my Daddy mobile
Not much planned (at this time)

Very nice car. That's the color combo and trim I'd go for.
The real story with the Duratec 37 is that 269 tq; you won't find competitors matching that with their 6-bangers.
Wonder how this quasi-luxury-sport sedan compares with a sport Maxima.

Although some may disagree, I would go so far as to say that the CX9 is on par with the current MDX. We opted for the MDX mainly because we were able to secure our 09 base for $35k (plus TTL) and I already had an AHFC pre-approval in place. But both the wife and I agreed that we would have been equally as content with a 9. (Particularly notable was the Motor Trend comparison where the 9 beat the MDX.)
I will take invisiblewar's post a step further and state that Mazda is an underrated brand.
sodaluvr, what's wrong with your mother's Altima?
It was a throw-in.
Me: That's too much. I'm outta here Chief.
Salesman: What if we throw in a 100K mile warranty?
Me: You must have me confused with someone who doesn't know how to negotiate.
Salesman: What would you say to a translucent hood?
Me: I'd say "where do I sign"?!?!

The "JDM" model is like the Honda Accord. Europe and Asia get their own, smaller Mazda 6 and Honda Accord.
We North Americans get a special, fatter car. Unlike the Accord/Inspire though (and something correct me if I'm wrong), the big NA 6 isn't sold anywhere else other than NA. We get the 3.7L V-6 and stuff whereas the J/EDM cars have their own drivetrain lineup.

So to make your car look "JDM", you either import specific parts from Japan or look on Ebay for body parts (lights, fenders, etc...).
I'm guessing we Americans get the special, fatter car because the Japanese know we are a 'fatter' country?... fattest in the world if I remember correctly.
That JDM model does look sick.

Nice to see you sprung for the translucent hood option!

I thought that was a photography trick.
