I have never really heard many complaints with Mercedes either about ergonomics.

I think German cars have some of the best ergonomics out there.
which one you want to talk about?

we had two 525i, a 300E and a S320 b4...none of them impressed me with the interior, the new ones are even worse

only the Audi would impressed me, but still too complicated

honda and toyota has one of the best ergonomics around

i also got rid of mine not because they suck... but because i like try new things from time to time....

also.. if what u meant is G35 seats are too tight.. then i guess g35 are not for u ( including S2k.. 350z.. RX8.. STI.. Evo and most of the sports cars) u should get adomestic with bench seats

my dads 328is is the best interior. i guess to each his own, but i love the window switches next to the shifter, and the console pointing towards the driveer is sooo nice

My wife's former '96 328i interior is no where near as nice as her '05 TL (or my '04 TL). The Bimmer's controls were a pain (too small and not that logical) and the seats weren't as nice as the ones in my '04 TL (or even her '05 TL).

Yes, it is a matter of perception, and that is mine.

the E39 5 series only has one cup holder and it pops out from the armrest

basically it's useless because if it's a stick you cannot place it

and the Golf/Jetta has 2 cupholders, however it is in the middle of the centre console and right above the A/C and Radio, wondering what if u spill on the expensive electric stuff

It wasn't until the '05 model Porsche 911's that they actually got a cupholder....Those darn Germans....All they think about is the driving aspect, not the drinking....in a Porsche, no less!

I read the entire story. I'm very bored at work

First: Thank you for sharing that. I think it is appropriate to post that on this board, being as though alot of people here will probably consider, or already has considered getting a G (including myself).

Second: I think you learned a valuable lesson. It is a shame it had to be so tormenting from beginning to end.

Third: I can't believe you bought that car under the circumstances. That was dumb.

my dads 00 S500 had the most uncomfortable seats of any car I've ever driven, after 2 hours in the car you wanted to shoot yourself. His new 7 series is a lot better suprisingly, much more supportive.

No, actually my point was more along the lines of perspective. Ten years may or may not make a difference in the seating position and comfort of a vehicle, but personal perspective most definitely will.

And not only seating position, but the interior ergonomics, too. Yep, except for the obvious, it really boils down to preference and perspective.

If you're referring to my post about BMWs and TLs, I have never been much of a fan of Hondas. Yes, I know that the TL is a "glorified" Honda, but I tend to think of it in a league separate of Accords and such.

Frankly, I have very little brand loyalty. My preference is to buy American and I do when there is a product that suits my desires. But I find brand loyalty to be self-defeating for the most part because it tends to shut out some potentially great machines.

whats funny to me is how 80% of the people concentrate n the deal I got instead of the problem... de problem was not the deal but haw I was treated when a problem came up...
The fact that I signed the papers only means that I could afford to...

I gues that not everyone can read something and get whats important out of it... the deal I got was not the problem here...

Keyes charged me for a tranny mount when my last transmission blew when it should have all been covered by warranty... liek 400 bucks or something.

Never going back to keyes.

I read the story and all i want to say is that i have used underwear i bet i could sell you.

What a

You can tell you are a whiner. Aww you get hungry, awww people are mean to you, aww my back hurts. Oh guys hold me!

If you grew a pair then you wouldnt even have been in this whole mess. Plus if you did do 8month of research then you would have seen the seat related threads. Plus the posts about the seats were by users with 1 or 2 posts. I find that just odd.

wow

I read the whole thing from begining to end and all i can say is this;

You are a idiot for not going to thre doctor to see what the actual problem was.. you wasted so myuch money already, yopur problem could of been solved by getting yourself to atleast a chiropractor to get the problem resolved. Your not that bright as far as i can see.

Search what problem? Your health problem? If you think German cars are so much better, maybe the BMW stealership will be oh-so-much nicer to you when a 3-Series' seat has the same problems because your health problems haven't changed.

8 months' of research, and you still couldn't figure out that people complain about the seats (G35 seats feel great to me whenever I sit in one) and you couldn't find a dealership that would give you more than a 5 minute test drive. The sales guy was a jerk who can't figure out that customers' time is not his own personal banking time.

Freshalloy's forums have had a lot of complaints about both Rosenthal and Gwinett. Wouldn't touch either of them with a ten-thousand-foot pole.

Unless there is a doctor in-the-house (er, on-the-forum), there's not much we can do for you regarding your back health (my uncle has problems as well). But your research and dealership skillz are lacking. Next time, contact the dealer prior to going in. Drive the car before you say "I'm not going to buy today," because then they will give you a two-minute test drive, and either play the numbers game or kick you out. Is that good customer relations? No, but it's what nearly what every dealership does, and it's common record, meaning it should be all over forums you looked at in your 8 months' of research.

I don't understand how this is a problem... The G35 is a sports car, sports car seats have bolsters. Bolsters keep you in the seat when you take corners.

Too bad you didn't know this
