anyway, i bet the refreshed gen coupe with DI will go over 350hp. that would be sweet. Genesis Coupe has a chance to be something very very special.
Wow, 350 hp out of 3.8 would eclipse all the Japanese NA V6's. I think that is optimistic.

I think many a dewd would pick a 400+ hp Mustang without navigation at about ~$36K vs a 300+ hp Genesis with navigation at ~$31K. I certainly would figure out how to come up with the extra $5k. It takes a lot of toys/handling to make up for 30% more hp when it comes to smiles behind the wheel.

I think I'd take the Camaro any day of the week just from the styling standpoint.

Yep, about 45% more torque and at lower RPM.

Also, $36K is for a premium trim GT (leather, upgraded audio, etc.). The stripped one starts at $29K.

While the new V6's in the Camaro and Mustang are certainly more competitive, these cars were still designed for a V8, so the engine compartment is larger than it needs to be. It should not be surprising that a car designed for a V6 would be better. The Genesis sedan's engine compartment is much larger, and it's V6 version is not as agile as the coupe, either.

I do prefer the styling and interior of the Hyundai, though.

^ Camaro looks very sexy from the outside for sure. Every time I see one of those RSs and SSs on the highway, I still get impressed by them.

The Nismo Z makes 350 from its 3.7. So 350 from 3.8 isn't out of the question.

That was a problem reported very early on that was immediately recognized and repaired by GM.
