Here is more info:

G35 Coupe

I must admit that it is a BEAUTIFUL car. Base price will be similar to Acura CLS, but add some options and I suspect it will easily be 5-7K more expensive. Performance estimate (on a different site) was 0-60 in 6.3s, but I have to believe it will better than that!

Other than the T-shaped dash, which is an acquired taste, and the minimal space in the back seats, this car is going to be hard to ignore (if you love a coupe). Wanna bet that Acura CL/TL will respond to the Infinity G35 challenge in the same way Honda Accord responded to the Nissan Altima challenge?

BTW, I am only providing information for those interested. I LOVE MY CLS 6spd, which I just picked up from the dealer yesterday. My only problem is the constant errection I have when driving it.

OMG... that is one of the funniest things I've read on here in a while!! LOL

Anyway... that is a sweet ass car. Personally, if I was going the Coupe route... I'd probably opt for the 350Z as it's performance is better then the G35 coupe. 0-60 on the 350z should be low to mid 5 sec..... can't be that for the price!!

The car looks great. My only reservation is the spoiler...definitely an option I would leave out. I love everything else about this car. I test drove a G35 Sedan the other day and it was incredible. It tips more towards the sporting side rather than the luxury side, which I have no problems with.

The handling was superb and the pickup (although an auto) was very lively, definitely better than my CL-S. Supposedly a 6-spd sedan will also be available beginning of the year for '03.

What I found strange was that the sales person told me the G35 sedan, coupe, and 350Z will all share the same platform.

get a z28 before thay are gone! thats the biggest bang for your sports car buck...handsdown. z28 will smoke the dog shit outta a 350z. i kno i kno z28 is a chevy and its bodystyle is old.i am just speaking performance wise. but if i wanted to go fast, id get the z28 before its gone

 

Yeah if all you want is GO. Damn those things are built worse than the CL. Rattles, squeaks, cheap material. Around here, only guidos and 17 year olds drive them. Same with Rustangs.

wow, I retract my statement in a previous thread that stated that I thought that the spoiler looked tits. The spoiler infact does not look tits and is, upon further examination, infact ugly. Thank you. And I apologize for any confusion my statement or retraction may have caused.

 

What happened to the headlights?

The car at the NY Auto show had BLACK headlight surrounds, and this car looks like it has grayish headlight surrounds.

Looks like I'll be sending mine to Soopa to have him paint them BLACK.

Also, that gay ass "Sport" badge has to go. Hopefully, it's just stuck on with tape.

The more I see this car, the more it looks like a 350 Z/Altima thing. THe spoiler is horrible. A loaded G35 sedan with the aero kit is a nutty 39k, for 28-30k these cars rock, anything over 32k, these cars become suspect IMO.

 

$39k for a loaded G35?!?!? F that. Way overpriced. It's a $30k car, no more.

I'm not too fond of that color blue either, but it works pretty well with the goofy taillights. Ditch the spoiler.

 

Go to their website. The options can add up. Funny how they sent a base model to win the Road and Track comparo (the major factor to it's winning was it's price).

 

I'm not a fan of those headlights -- ick. Other than that, looks pretty good! Still keepin' my CL-S though, of course!

but yes... high gloss metallic black headlights (Acura JDM style) on that thang would be SEXXXXY.

 

I think the G35 is a great looking car, but that spoiler doesn't look very good on it. Also, the more I see the butt of the G35, the more I fall out of love with it. CL > G35

 

If the 350z's spoiler is an option, I'd rather use that than the G35...

So this is the 2+2 350Z? I haven't looked at the G35 coupes specs but it looks a lot like an Infiniti 350Z. I know almost everyone on this board is in love with the 350Z, but I personally think it's sytle is gonna get dated quick. Me no like:thumbsdn: (refering to the G35 coupe). Maybe it'll grow on me.

 

I mean, it's not ugly,not bland, it's nice. Ya'll seen the NISMO spoiler on the 350Z yet, that thing is UGLY! Makes this one look very good!

 

That ain't blue, not like our Agean, or WRX.

 

im in heaven, i love this car, cant wait for my lease to end now, i want that blue g35 sooo bad, i think i just had a accident. please let me have it now, and make the payments easy on my wallet.
