Wow, awesome pics! Love those classic hot rods!

Looks like a lot of them have a flat coat, not glossy. Was it always that popular? I thought I read/saw somewhere that they are getting more and more popular.

the suede (primer, flat coat) has always been popular w/ the custom guys. The industry is growing so it's seen alot more now.

On the east coast it's sometimes called california suede... I've even seen clear coat over primer...

I like the look...

Oh, I like this one... Reminds me of a bootleggers car... Needs a grille tho' and a little better rake... Straight axle up front I assume...

Yea, that car looks good, he use to have different wheels on it that looked better. Those new ones are old school magnesiums



the straight axle cars are really comming back in full force, each and every show I see the popularity growing, they look cool, but man they gotta be miserable to drive

rat rod, and they are works in progress for the most part. FOr some it's part of the look, for others it's just a matter of taking their time to fix everything. More concerned about driving them then fixing a few beat up panels
