Modding has Begun....and ended on my RL

Call me an old man, but to finish off my interior, I just purchased the wood shift knob and the wood steering wheel as pictured here. I have no other plans for this car. Modding is done!

Did I ever tell you how much I hate you for getting an RL...?

I'll post about my hatred of you in the "Who you hate on AZ" thread, synth19. Just an FYI.

Glad the modding ended there. There's just something not right about modding an RL.

Although...getting to look like the Mugen Max would not be so bad.

probably because finding the right wheel in a 5x120 bolt pattern isn't as easy as one would suspect.

the Mugen Max RL is a bit too aggressive for my tastes. I'd prefer the Amuse RL.

^ I have an '05, so wood is real. No tech package in '05....just one standard RL. Kinda lame that the '07's now have 3 different packages, with the base with no navi and fake wood.

Is that your own pic or a stock photo? It looks so professional.

^ professional. But it's the exact same color combo I have. I just placed the order for the wheel today, and the knob should be in today or tomorrow.

I was thinking about trading in my TL and getting a 06 RL but decided that it would look weird. But that Amuse RL or the Mugen RL got me thinking again

Sometimes people ruin a beautiful/classy/upscale/luxurious/modern car and mod the hell out of it until it looks way overdone and turns it into something it's just not meant to be. Not all upscale cars can pull off the typical: lowered, tinted, big rims, cleared or smoked lights, louder exhausts, bodykits, etc. that are common changes. Sometimes they just look classier left as is, or with minor tweaks...but not changing the entire personality of the car.

That's a great example of why Acura is where it is compared to Lexus, BMW, and MB. If they're trying to get up there like Infiniti is, they sure as hell can't be cutting corners like this.

Man that's one heck of a mod for being so simple. I like ones like that, understated but add a lot. I almost said "that pic is pro quality", then I read it, well, was.

good point. Modding an RL is like going through a mid-life crisis!
