A local company used my car to design rock guards for the 2015+ Mustangs. It's kind of cool to see it on their site

My buddy ended up convincing me to get the following -
So, random Mustang related story really quick -
I've been getting a mean vibration in my steering wheel around 80mph and I kept thinking "wtf, did I bend a wheel? Did the springs screw me?" So I just called up SD wheel and tire depot and right off the bat he told me that it's normal and happens when the wheel is out of balance and to bring it by because they offer *free* lifetime rotation and balance. Hearing that just made my day cause I was super close to selling them to some dude off craigslist. It vibrates so bad at 80+ that I thought my brakes went bad already.

Well, found out that I've got a bent front wheel and a curbed read wheel. Thankfully, the place that's going to do repairs is going to cut me a deal. In other news, my car's too low to make it through any of the local car washes so I'm in a tough spot since we're technically not allowed to wash our cars at home anymore. What to do, what to do..

D, what's with that no washing your car stuff??
Love the rear 3/4 shots of your car. Sucks about the wheels. They look perfect though on the new/your 'Stang.
BTW D, I'm Next. LOL

Well, unfortunately in California we seem to be experiencing some type of drought and because of said drought, we're not legally allowed to wash our cars at home in San Diego county anymore. A lot of people still do it, but being that I still live at home my dad is on my a$$ not to test my/our luck. Lol. Plus I don't want to pay the fine if we get one. I'm paying enough bills as it is, might as well get my own place but school comes first. :/
Ehh, screw it. The wheels can be repaired! Thanks for the compliments, means a lot coming from someone with a car like yours.
Oh, and don't be an ass.. You won't even see my plates with how fast your car is now. Hahahaha

PS...I know it's counter intuitive but have you considered using optimum no rinse? I won a bottle once and it does a surprisingly great job without much effort. Plus, you dry as you wash so it's fast. It'll never be my first choice over really washing it...but in a pinch, it would work and would likely be better to your paint than the autoswirlmakerwashes.

Could take a bucket & wash it there, use the gun for rinse/spot free?

I've been looking into that stuff, I'm gonna stop by some local stores to see if they have any in stock for me to try.

I'm jealous of the weather you have and even being able to "contemplate" washing my car. My hoses are shut off from the main valve to prevent freezing.
PS. Surprised at that 1st run. He catch you off guard? What were his mods?

I'm trying not to make this a money pit but these little imperfections are bugging me. My rear bumper is still dinged up, my front bumper has a ding and a scratch from a pine cone being thrown at it while I was driving and my passenger side rear wheel has some slight rash.
I'm starting to realize that I just can't keep this thing perfect if it's gonna be my DD. :/

This poor car gets abused a lot and one car wash at home/week won't make or break the drought we're in. So it's time for me to research and stock up on cleaning goods to make my damaged beauty look good again. Any tips from you pro detailers?

ONR plus some good quality microfiber towels and maybe some spray wax are all you really need to start. You can go from there, but it is a long, never-ending, expensive road (ask me how I know). Search on Autogeek or Detailed Image for detail supplies, or there is always Amazon.

Thank you sir! I think she looks pretty good as well.
Thanks for the tips, I'll look into it tonight.
San Diego's finest was kind enough to give me a yellow love note tonight. Funny how he wrote me up for doing "80+" when traffic was either pacing me or passing me.
I fully intend to fight the ticket, especially since the cop was a dick for no reason. I was compliant, had all my documents and gave no attitude yet he had to over-exert his authority on me. Oh well, I'll take what he said as a compliment - "Well kid, you shouldn't drive a car like this if you don't want attention". What a cunt.

Feel like I haven't been on my own thread in a while. Still have the car, just been working a lot and haven't done much to it or much of anything else lately. Yesterday marked 2 months of ownership, I'm still surprised that I bought a Mustang in the first place. Even though I sit and drool over other cars all the time, nothing I've driven so far has put a smile on my face quite like this thing has.

Money talks I've had a lot of people express interest in purchasing it and for the right amount I'd part ways with it. Definitely not in a rush to sell though. The car has yet to get old to me. It feels a little "slow" now, but I think I'm just finally getting used to it.
