And another view, I found this car in Dresden at the Altrmarktgalerie parking garage. Dirty as hell but a real rarity here.

Nice They even got the last good looking front end in my opinion too. I love that year of the MDX.

I'm a huge fan of the MDX. Pretty cool to see one in Germany

You mentioned the "Grey Market" in your post. Care to elaborate on that?

I highly doubt it is a US citizen ... sharp eyes will see that the car has both a rear fog light and a back-up light mounted beneath the rear bumper. This would indicate the the normal back-up lights in the taillight assemblies have been converted to turn signals. The rear fog lamp is required under STVo (our version of Federal standards) anyway so this would seem to me to be a gray market car specifically modified for the local market.
BTW and FWIW, in Europe the turn signals MUST be yellow, this is why typically gray market cars use the back-up lights as turn signals by swapping out the clear bulbs and using yellow ones. This is a cheap and easy mod to get legal turn signals however the mod requires that a seperate back-up light be installed.

Grey vs Gray ... ubbs I guess I am slowly forgetting how to spell in English after so many years away. BTW, there is a small but strong demand for U.S. spec cars here. Routinely I see Challengers, Mustangs (I have a friend who has a convertible come to think of it) and variety of other for us exotics from the U.S.A. Though these cars are immensely expensive here and are not really well adapted to the local driving environment they are still exciting to see.

I had always wondered why American cars had two-part taillights (red/white), while Japanese cars always had three-part (red/yellow/white). Now I know.

IIRC, the USA standard does not specify that turn signals at the rear be yellow but what we do not have is corner marker lights, these are strictly forbidden and on imports must either be removed or made inoperative.
