MDX - good deal?

Got a friend who works at a VW dealership and they received an MDX in a trade today. My wife and I are trying to trade in our TSX for an MDX, and we're wondering if this is a good deal.

It's an 04, dark blue (he doesn't know acura colors) with navi, 48k miles, and they're asking $29,995 for it. If we put down $2k on it, they will match it, which means we get the MDX for $25,995 or less if I can talk them down more, or if he can cut a deal with one of the salespeople. (He's a mechanic.)

Sound like a good deal? He said the MDX passed the pre-owned certification or whatever.

Also, did the 04 have integrated bluetooth?

So does it mean that it you put down $10K, they'll put down $10K???

Price is high. I found a '04 w/ NAVI certified for $28.9K with 10,000 less miles and even that seems high???

Pass, unless you can get it down several thousand.

Eh, it's a crock of shit, because all it means is they're willing to sell the truck for $2k less than the sticker. So I told them to come down to 25k, and we'll talk.

My other dealership has an 06 MDX with navi for 40k!

I'm also slapping my head for thinking of trading in an 06 TSX with less than 10k miles to get a 3 year old SUV with 48k miles which won't be under warranty anymore.

Yeah, that sucks. Not to mention the gas mileage is going to be an eye-opener, too.

Spend a few more K and get yourself a brand spanking new Veracruz or Mazda CX-9.

We're looking into the Honda CRV now, 4WD with navi.

Either that or a Pilot if the dealership really wants to deal.
