In my opinion, only the Audi Q7 can compare to the new MDX. I think that it is a great choice.

so this is what i found out, their Mechilene tire are defective so what it does is vibrate from low speed to high speed. and they are currently working on the audio software where you open a drive door and the disk will auto eject out .

Very nice car for the price. It definitely has the best value of all the cars in it's class.

I have an 07 MDX Sport with ENT and it is awesome. I love it everyday and drive it when possible. THe only con with the MDX is that for the first few hundred to 1000 milles, it will get horrible gas milage, but then it starts to improve. I have around 2.8K miles on my MDX ande it gets about 19-20 in the city and 22 on the highway. Make sure that when you get one that you have the right log nut wrench with the jack

SHould purchase MDX even without consideration. Here's link to Car&Driver comparison.

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...mdx-sport.html

2007 Acura MDX Sport

Highs: Agile in the hills, superior tracking, gratifying to drive.

Lows: Goofy grille, cluttered center rack, no low-range 4WD.

The Verdict: As much sport as utility, and, hey, it’s a Honda.

The new MDX is sex on wheels. If I could afford one, I would. But since we have a little one on the way and the wife is leaving the Navy, we can't.

I concur, the MDX is one fine looking SUV. Get it and be sure to post some pics when you do.

Great choice if kiddo number three is on the way.

My opinion: don't need three rows unless you have three or more kids.

We chose the RDX because we are a one-working-on-two-and-that-is-it family.

I think we'll get an MDX next spring. After experiencing some minor dissapointments w/ first year model (TSX), will prefer to get the bugs worked out of the '07 first.

Teh wifey really like RDX, but after driving the X3 she preferred the smoother six to the turbobanger. I'm convinced that for the same money of an X3, the MDX is a value play.

In the $40,000+ market the MDX is the obvious choice.

(BTW, my wife prefered the RDX's turbo and better interior to the X3. BMW interiors are...boring.)

I like the goofy grill because it makes it stand out from the rest of the other suv's, but the back, is boring to me. Since the new MDX has those polka dot LEDs I confused it from faraway with the new GMC Arcadia.

We have 2 kids and the third row has come in handy more times than I can count. It's handy to be able to bring 2 more people in just one car instead of forcing them to follow you. Granted it's not much space except for kids, but I'd take the option to use it in the future than to not have it at all.

And at 3+ kids anyway, I'd look into a Tahoe or an Odyssey anyway.

I agree. We only have a 2.5YO right now (and would like another in the future), but a third row is a given now.

I just had the new MDX as a loaner for a few days and I really liked it. It handles great, has nice grunt, and feels like a sedan that sits high. The sound system is good and the interior was quite nice. Lots of leg room in the 2nd row and there is barely any transmission hump in the middle. The third row was fine...I'd ride back ther for an hour or two (I'm 5'9") if I had to. The third row folds up/down very easily and there is a nice size compartment below the third row. Plus, it's an Acura so you should be getting a good reliable vehicle. Interestingly, I just saw a post on the mdx owner's site that ranked the MDX has having the 2nd best value retention behind a BMW and Porcshe. Very nice...

If not for the silly Honda/Acura marketing folks, we'd be likely purchasing an '07. My wife wants the Aspen White Pearl and we both want a black interior. Acura seems to think that folks only want the parchment or nasty bordeaux interior with a white exterior Hopefully they'll fix this for '08. I'm just glad that wifey is willing to look beyond the Escalade/Denali/QX56 crowd to a larger crossover

MDX looks like a transformer which is damnnnn cool!

Looks like a concept in my opinion, which is a good thing! in terms of design, it is definitely up to date compared to the cars in its class.

I can't imagine using the third row when it is so much easier and more confortable to take two cars than screw around moving car seats, etc. I guess we don't have family in town, so the opportunities to use it are like about one week a year when my parents are in town--not enough to base a car purchase decision on. Plus here in the Dallas burbs, parking is easy, so it is really no big deal to take two cars. Most of our friends have a kid or two as well, so it is a bit much to cram everyone in one vehicle. Maybe later on when the kids are grade-school age with friends, etc.

The RDX driving experience is signicantly better then the MDX, and 98% of the miles put on our car are going to be with 4 people or less. I think I may pick the RDX even if it was the same price, and for $10,000 less is was an easy decision. My best friend has 2007 MDX, so I have had an extended test drive. I know I would much rather drive the RDX to work everyday.

That being said, if you have use for the third row (like three kids or parents in town) and extra cargo capacity, the MDX is a tough package to beat. I think you have to go up to the V8 X5 to get better driving dynamics, and it is way, way more expensive.

Both the MDX and the RDX are great cars, but the MDX felt MUCH more spacious, and more upscale, so that is what we decided to go with. Hopefully we will have our sport by the end of the summer, but so far we still have the van.

It's a great vehicle, if you haven't already, check out acuramdx.org
