It's not very often you see the words "I currently owned" together.

I'd try the correct forum (Car Talk) - see if there's one somewhere in your native language.

Dad owns an 03 SL. Never had any problems with it at all. Extremely fast and gets mucho attention still.

I have no idea about the 6-series though. They look good

Which one is better for Summer? What the hell does that mean?

They are both fine for Summer, along with 98% of all cars out there.

I'd get the SL500, but simply because retractable hard top OWNS. Also, I'd wait for the 500 engine series revamp. It's underpowered currently.

I'd go with the SL. Classic look and has the retrac. hard top. I wish I were 19 with these type of car dilemmas.

SL, hands down. The retractable hardtop and much sleeker look, plus classic mercedes cushy interior is in every way better than the corresponding areas on the 645i. While the 645 may be quicker, it's just too ugly to bear.

i still abhor the iDrive system on them BMW's.

go for the SL. its got a nice overall look and the interior is beautiful. and you cant go wrong with that hard top conv.

the 6series bmws are hideous, the only reason i look at it when it passes is because i wonder where it ever came from..

Just don't fucking drive like an idiot and crash it...

Are your parents actually going to get you a nearly $90k car?? Or are you somehow buying this yourself??

Real men drive the 55. The 500 is an old mans car.
