Hey! Yeah, I've been busy with work/married life/diablo 3. bahahaha
I'm 100% satisfied with the performance. It can definitely go much faster with pretty low budget but no point. You will love the Sure Shortcut and weight. It changes the shifting manner a lot. Much shorter and crispier.
I probably won't do anything else except the suspension mod.

I loved that car. I had an intake, down-pipe, bigger inter-cooler..it was wicked fast.
Fact being ...come winter I am buying either a used STI or another MS6.

something about the STI boxer sound gets me..
but when I look at the MS6.. I don't see too many of those around so I'd feel like one of the many that has one... and it looks like it has more room in the rear than STI/EVO
anyways.. i need to take a picture of something I found while taking off some more stuff on my "newer" motor. lol.

Dang I can't imagine going from an MS6 to a truck. Big change for sure. jjashaa has some valid points with the STi vs MS6 debate. I know first hand that the MS6 has a larger rear seat than the STi and I personally love rarely seeing another MS6 on the road, not that I see THAT many STi's now-a-days either. But I do have to admit the STi boxer engine does have a very distinct, awesome sound to it, not that I don't love the way my MS6 sounds when into boost. Which ever one you go with will be a great choice really. AWD/Turbo/6spd is a very fun combination as you know since you've owned one before. Was your MS6 tuned? COBB has come a long way with the AccessPORT. Even the off the shelf tunes are so much better than the stock tune.

I drive a Subata.

Yep, same here, always checking out the big turbo builds, the E85 tuning and things like meth injection and stuff, but honestly where it is IMO is perfect for daily driving (although my commute is zero now that I work from home) and yet fun enough to keep me entertained but out of trouble. I checked out some before and after videos on YouTube with the Sure Shortcut and it looks like it makes it even more than the claimed 33% reduction in throw distance.

Nope wasn't tuned...next one will be though.

I did it so long ago so don't really remember, but it was definitely MUCH shorter. Are you getting those little shifter bushings as well? Forgot what the name was but it's the little things that holds the shifter in place on the center stack. The stock ones are made of rubber, so it kinda moves when shifting hard. I noticed a lot of difference after I changed them out. It's like 10 bucks or something.

Installed a set on my friend's Civic Si.. replaced the rubber bushings for the trans shifter linkage and also on this shifter base.. it was TWM brand
impressive results! feels like my TWM short shifter in my genesis.. I asked him how it was over the months.. precise shifting every time.. said if he had to go back to stock if.. the shifter mods would be the last to go. haha
then I go drive my other friends Civic Si with nothing.. so shitty... lol

^ Good to hear. I honestly didn't think they'd do that much so I wasn't going to order them along with the short shift plate, but now I'm reconsidering it.

^ It's a series of three photos of the front of a Miata on one side and the crazy girl from YouTube that sings the Beiber song with her eyes all bugged out getting closer and closer each photo. It's an instant classic lol!

Well, here are the newest pictures I've taken of my MX-5. It took a cinder brick into the windshield. The brick also managed to damage the hood and the dash. I still have tiny pieces of glass coming out of the AC as well. Yay me.

^^^What the...? What happened? How did a cinder block brick end up there?

I had it parked by my friends house and when I went to make sure I hadn't gotten a parking ticket for parking on the street at night I saw that (the brick still laying on my hood). So it was either a random act of destruction/teenagers or someone I know really doesn't like me, either way someone threw it into my windshield.

Thought I'd bring this thread back up. Last Sunday I learned the brakes were pretty good (this is my first car with ABS, too). Just as I crested a hill, I saw a deer right ahead in the road. In the few seconds as I was braking, I remember thinking something along the lines of, "Deer, crap, brake brake brake, new car, crap, it's running straight at me, still have the 30 day tags, about to wreck, crap, brake, car's stopping fast, deer's darting in a panic circle, car's stopped, and there goes the deer. Whew."

Quick mind
Glad you were able to stop in time and keep your new car intact. Sounds like it could've been really ugly.
But... first car with ABS? In 2012?

Aman - Yes, my old car is a 2000 Accord Coupe LX. I've driven cars with ABS a bit, but this is the first I've owned. (Edit: also the first with rear disc brakes).
Sarlacc - I was heading downhill, as I'd just crested the hill, and the deer was ahead and darting in a circle, so I decided braking or at least reducing speed before hitting the deer was the best choice. Living where I do I've avoided a lot. Then again, I didn't avoid three (one of which jumped over a barrier and landed on the car).
