Mazda RX-7's were not meant to climb trees

Here's a recipe for disaster: mix a brand new owner, one 3rd-generation RX7, a clear Sunday evening, a 2-lane rural road, and a sharp curve. Then add the sudden application of 255 turbocharged horses, a berm, and a tree.

No word on the driver, but the airbag went off. In a bittersweet moment, the hitting the tree kept him from hitting the house just beyond the tree. The pictures tell the story.

The RX-7 is such a nice car. It's pretty sad to see one like that.
