Maserati MC12

Look carefully, its really a ENZO underneath. This is the real reason why the ENZO was built. To go GT racing. Don't bother asking the price.

Are you sure about that? I cannot imagine the Enzo being redone like that. I may be wrong, but it does not make sense to me.

From different websites, they clearly say it is based heavily upon the ENZO. The reason they have to sell it to the public because GT rules state that they must sell a number of cars to quailify to race:

It is based on the Enzo, and the GT homologation rule requires that they sell a street version to the public.

The white one is the street version -- notice the spoiler is different.

The Enzo was not built with the intention of supplying Maserati with a GT race car. Rather, Montezemolo thought that it would be the ideal candidate of a chassis and engine for Maserati to go racing with. I hope it does well in the races. I'm a fan of Maserati.
