Magnesium Chloride

Sons of bitches at the State DOT.

Spraying this liquid death because donkeys can't drive in 2" of snow.

Everything I read says this shit is exponentially more corrosive than salt on sheetmetal and gets everywhere thus mauling hoses and such as well.

Go back to salt and fuck the people that can't drive in snow.

I just bought a new car and I'm thinking I need a winter beater now.

I'll never be able to sell my car to someone from the south 'cause they won't understand why the underhood stuff looks like it does unless they lived up here:

I'm thinking I'll keep the CL as a winter beater and keep my next car off the roads in the winter...

Exactly. I'm going to end up buying a car to protect my brand new one during the winter.

At least it looks like I can get a mid-90s Maxima for around $3500 ... Should be decent enough to get me through 4-5 months a year.

As much of a classic the CL is, I dont think you will get people from the south wanting it regardless of salt.

I mean yea this sucks but none of our cars will see major effects of it unless we keep them for 10+ years. Might need new exhaust sooner than later but the body should be fine as long as you have a good sealant on it. IMO

After a snow storm I always run my car through a car wash right away. I make sure theres an under carriage wash also.

I'm not really worried about my car... It's only an acura... it's not like it's a porsche or ferrari.

I always think it's kinda funny when some of the folks up here put their fwd cars away for the winter... We've got one guy up here who's afraid to drive his TL in the rain (sorry dennis).

I haven't even washed my car since the last storm we had... like 2 weeks ago
