M35S Lemon to G37 Sedan

I had the pleasure of lemoning () my beautiful M35 recently. It was excruciating to go through the process but I wrapped up my lemon law process in October 2013. It took about 8 months for the whole process and I literally got all my money back! Soon after I picked up a new 2013 G37 Sport Sedan.

Here is my M35 (Dead):

Here is where I am with my G37 after 3 months. I did all of my add-ons during the past 2 weeks while I was off of work:

I'm quite happy with how the car turned out

Congratulations on the new car. What was the cause of the lemon conclusion?

Local dealership replaced short block twice due to engine knocking noise. After the 2nd time, it started to leak oil. My M35 was only driven for about 7.5k miles during 3 years of ownership (I know, I need to drive more....). To add salt to my wound, the service manager had the nerve to tell me that the knocking was "normal" after the second replacement. I rebutted by asking why the hell did they replace my engine twice before... I suspect that the dealership messed up my engine during the 2nd replacement and was trying to back pedal to cover their asses.

I got tired of the stress and consulted a lemon law attorney. After that the attorney worked his magic.

What a pain. Glad you were able to get it worked out, though.

I guess it was worth it. What did it cost to hire the attorney?

I'm glad it all worked out. Honestly, that might have have deterred me from buying another Infiniti.

In normal circumstances, I would've stopped buying infiniti, but I also owned a FX35 with the same engine and it had zero problems. the 09 G37c I bought for my mom also has zero problems. I honestly think my M35 was a manufacturer boo boo. I still have love for the brand.

Nice choice in vehicles. I'm really surprised they still had a G37S around.

I bought 1 of the two white on black remaining in S. CA. I think I bought it in October... but then again something tells me I bought it in September. I don't recall. haha.

This makes too much sense to be on the interwebz! Get offline and go back to work; you are obviously a valuable asset!

Fair enough. Be it a restaurant, hotel, airline or automaker, I typically X off on a brand after one bad experience.

Good luck with the G; it's a good looking car.
