Luxury Trucks

Does anyone here think that Honda/Toyota will luxurize their trucks? As of now, I believe that Lincoln is the only luxury brand offering a truck -- anyone know how its sales are?
I realize that having a luxury truck probably does not make a lot of sense considering what a truck is for, however, I never would have thought that Toyota would have Lexus-ized their SUVs (not crossovers) into the LX/GX.
The reason I ask is bc I am going to need a truck when I move; the Tacoma is my #1 choice but being the emblem chaser that I am, a Lexus version could not hurt. Especially since I do not plan on doing a lot of off-road rugged stuff - mostly just trips to Lowes/HomeDepot for outdoor goods. An Acura version of the Ridegline would probably make more sense since that is basically a crossover truck ...
Does anyone else think that there is a market for this?

A friend of mine has one of those Lincoln crew cab pick up things as company vehicle. Its an over priced piece of shit, IMO. The leather isn't particularly nice, it has tons of rattles, does not ride quiet, does not handle or ride good and is by no means fast and the kick in the ass it gets horrible fuel economy to boot
I hope if any of the other companies come out with "luxury" pickup trucks they are more well excuted then Lincoln's attempt.

That was uncalled for...
Check out the 2005 Ford F-150 King Ranch...
I think you'd be surprised at would Ford can come up with interms of "luxury" truck...As for the Lincoln, Ive only heard good things about them from a friends father who works at a Ford dealership...I will defiantley check it out at the dealership some day...

my dad has a Limited Tundra with leather and everything in it. of course he has done some modding to it but it is a very nice and comfertable ride and pretty comfertable and luxuriouse inside. i love driving the truck, to be honest, and it does haul alot of things. i'm not sure what you ment by the GX/LX, but i know for a fact that the GX is based off of the toyota 4Runner(which is my Dads business car) frame and the LX i beleive is it's own frame or it maybe from the Sequoia. there is simularities in that respect.
the tacoma is a very nice truck but still i like the tundra more.

i wouldn't mind seeing an acura version of the ridgeline...like an mdx with a bed, that'd be kinda cool and right up some people's alley. but i don't think honda would get on that bandwagon.

Not going to happen. Just think, how many rappers are you going to see on Cribs with 26"s on a Ridgeline? Not likely.

yea your right, i oculdn't remember if it was the Seequia or the land cruiser. but the sequoia does share the same frame with the tundra.

the interior is surprisingly nice for a ford. it has red/orange leather and it is pretty damn soft. i really believe it is much better than the leather in my tl-s. it was price around $45k and he got it for around $35k OTD.
i'll try and take some pics.
