I feel like getting a Camaro SS and swapping in an SR20DET motor as payback.

I thought it was cool until I noticed the Chevy bow tie on the front.

well.. the ls1 sure is powerful.. plus the R33 was the biggest disgrace in skyline history so might as well do something with it.

I understand that replacing the skyline engine with an ls1 is not cool, but you guys are acting like the )LS1 isn't shit. The ls1 is a proven motor, and built right with twin turbo, it can make as much or more than a modded skyline motor. The chevy emblem is stupid, but for years rx7 guys have been running 11`s with stock ls1s. modded with bolt ons, those rx7s have stock intrnal ls1s running 10s.

im not bashing on the skyline or saying anything bad of it. the GTR33 wasnt even that great of an improvement over the R32. through the skyline history, it always improved drastically and always kept ahead of the rest every time a new model of the skyline was introduced. When the R32 came out, it was huge. The GTSR (R31) was the first one to have the legendary RBDET engine, but was only a 2.0 liter. then the monstorous RB26DETT came out for the R32 model. Which left anything that touched any race course in the dust. It would set record times all over the place, plus made a name for itself in in nurburing when it broke the best timed lap there. This was the car that gave the skyline the name "godzilla" everywhere.

The R33 came out with a slightly improved RB26DETT engine, but also the chassis got heavier. also even if it did beat its predescesor's (R32)'s record time, it never really became the car that the R32 was. R32 was a history maker. by the time R33 came out, the rest of the competition in motorsports already surpassed it.

Then when the R34 came out, it basicly put the R33 in the shadows. breaking records everywhere plus having victories in most of the JGTC Championships. it was a new kind of machine. heavily improved version of the R33.

all im trying to say is that, with each and every model that nissan came up with for the skyline, it always created massive hype, new records, surpassed any other competition and held on strong for years. the R33 never came close to what the R32 and R34 brought. that's the only reason im saying that i could really care less about that model.

yeah this is a bad example but i guess it works: something like the eclipse. the mid-90's model was every ricer's dream car. then when it turned into that thing that it was previous to today's model, no one cared. or even took a second look at it. the newer model.. i guess they tried to bring that hype back.. i guess its better than the previous model.

haha ok not a good example at all. but just something i want to put out there.
