You'll find lots of tools around here. Shouldn't be hard to find.

Also to answer your question, just use some goo gone for auto paint or WD40 to get it off.

You do not want anything abrasive on your cars paint.
the pencil eraser material tool you are talking about is ABRASIVE.

for paint, you always want to start off with the LEAST aggressive treatment.

I've used Goof Off successfully on many cars to get any residue off of paint and/or emblems...

3M eraser wheel is what you are thinking

it's awesome, and i'll admit it goes against everything you are ever told on how to care for a cars paint. But this thing takes the cake. Beats out googone, or anything else i've used for removing decals, pinstriping, etc

I've used this tool for years. And I had forgotten about it when I bought my tundra. I spent 2 hours trying to get the side 4x4 decal off the bed....used goo gone, wd-40, and a heat gun. Came off in tiny pieces, looked like shit, scratched the paint all to hell....and after 2 hours I only about halfway there. Enter this tool, finished the second half and the other side of the bed in under 10 minutes, and paint was flawless.
