LoJack - I have a question

OK this is like 2 years ago but what the hell. When I bought my 07 TSX LoJack came with the car. I had NO idea but after about 6 days I checked my glove compartment for the manual and saw a LoJack brochure, envelope, and a card with my VIN number on it. I asked my dealer and he didn't even know this car had LoJack (no joke).

Any ways, before I discovered that I had LoJack, the service guy gave me my keys after he installed my body kit and there was this black, squared device with a red led light in the middle. I was like, "hey man this isn't my key." Then the service guy tested it with the car remote and unlocked my car. I told him the black squared device thing wasn't mine. So he took it off and kept it.

Well I went home and read about LoJack. I Even called them and verify and it was legit. Well after reading some threads about LoJack 2 YEARS LATER, there's something called an early warning system.

So my question is, was that black squared device my early warning system? If it is, then I'm out of luck getting it back, haha. But I'm sure I can contact LoJack and maybe get a replacement? (if it is an early warning system of course)

Wow, so that's what the black plastic remote looking things are for? I took them out of my RL because I had no clue what they were for.Interesting though, how do you unlock the car with it? There's no buttons to press on mines. Maybe I should put them back in my car...

Yea the black thing with the red light is the early warning key pass (I have the same for my car). It is meant to be on your keyring at all times because when lojack is installed on your car, they install some transmitter in your car (they don't tell you where they put it... could be anywhere). If your car is moves without the keyring in it then lojack will notify you via phone/email/etc that your car could possibly be stolen etc.

Since you have been driving with lojack but no keyring thing, then sounds like lojack don't know who to contact about the car constantly moving lol. You can go to their website and get a new black plasitc remote keyring thing and talk with them about it. (And no, you can't unlock your car with it, its just a sensor)

If you get a replacement, post a picture of what it looks like, and that keyring as well.

mine is more oval shaped. looks like yours is an older version. but now that I remember, I don't think the light is supposed to be on. If it starts blinking red then the battery is dying and you need to replace it, I remember that cus I had to do it a few months ago.

it's a proximity thing. it senses when the car moves without the black sensor in. but i'm guessing cause you never registered it they didn't have a call. But you're being watched
