I just sent the guy this question:

I'm just wondering because it's funny that a car that doesn't even exist in japan. has a bodykit in japan? Just a little confusing.

Just got a reply what a tool

First and foremost the Acura originally was designed in Japan..the same designer developed a bodykit for it..I was a bit confused too at first..
so ron jon was the same designer that created the TL in JAPAN, even though Acura doesn't even EXIST IN JAPAN.

I wonder if the owner is indian, my parents use those same cheap plastic floor mat things in their cars. I hate it when they do that. Funny thing is, the mats in my parents cars are in worse condition than the mats in my car. Go figure.

hehehe, im so enjoying reading about everyone telling this guy the facts.

the story so far...
seller claims body kit is jdm
seller claims body kit designer is the same person who designed 3g tl
seller claims tl was designed in japan
seller claims he was the only owner...

which is hard to believe because if he was, then he should already know where the kit comes from.

it's amazing what people will put in ads these days to try to sell their car and make it sound more unique than it really is.

^^

He still doesn't have it right. Does he realize it's NOT a japanese kit.

Can't wait for revitup to flame him for his use of "beautified"

. RonJon is famous around here without him even knowing it; for being such a small, non-mainstream brand, I see TLs quite often with his kit on it. My dealer had a gorgeous NBP TL with it on; looked amazing.

this is a perfect example of people reselling cars and claiming they are the orignal owners. This guy has no idea what the heck he's talking bout. and the funny thing is even after all of the e-mail's he has gotton from all of us he dosen't feel the need to re-write all the BS bout it being JDM. i think someone sold him the car and gave his all the JAPAN BODYKIT SHIT and he bought it since he had never seen the kit. if thats not it that this guy is a total duesh bag

I know that Acura is the luxury line for Honda in the US, but, i'm pretty sure the TSX's are built in Sayama, Japan.

I understand what you're getting at, but the point is Acura doesn't exist in Japan in any shape or form no matter if the model here is an Acura.

I didn't know the TSX were built in Japan. Are you refering to the Euro Accord which is the TSX here?

I just noticed on the window sticker at the Dealership that the TSX was built in Japan.

The TSX sticker says 95% Japan. The car is manufactured in Japan, put on a boat, and shipped here. Which is why I had to wait a week for mine.

I really hate the mats because on numerous occasions they have gotten jammed underneath the pedals and on many occasions made it difficult to get off the acceleartor or brake.

They just get in the way and can be dangerous.
