Hyundai is the Acura of the future. They seemed to have went all out on that mid model change. Would love to see another comparo with the updated engine, brakes, and suspension tuning.

Especially considering that car costs the same as a loaded BMW 535i.

I'm talking about interior features....does your 760 have heated, ventilated, and massaging rear seats with recline and front passenger seat control? There are also full audio and climate controls for the rear seat.

Yep, with controls for the idrive in the rear The only difference is the seat bottom slides out versus lifting like in the photo for the passenger side.

here are the rear controls:

thank god, i have heard those things are more trouble than they are worth in reliability.

But i wouldn't mind taking one for a test beating.

Mine hasn't been quite the ugly child but it hasn't been an angel yet. My warranty company is loosing quite a bit of money; almost 10+ K in misc. repair such transmission repair (replace leaking transmission fluid pan, transmission computer and reprogram), 2x trunk repair kits at 1K each, 3K for a coolant leak repair from a bad gasket and some other stuff.

I'll tell you one thing though, the few days it reaches the highway and some good on/off ramps, the growl and sudden blast of torque makes you forget about all the other problems .

I like the mini fridge in the Equus, doesn't Audi offer this on the A8L? Anyhow I think it's funny that Hyundai will have a true executive class luxury car out before Acura even tries to make one.

With the new 8 speed and 5.0 the Genesis is going to be quite the car. I bet by time Gen2 comes out they will have made even larger strides with the car.

this genesis is really starting to look good..on the outside and inside. i might have to consider one whenever my RL craps out or when I'm bored with it. i just hope the reliability will be better than that 760i though in the long run.

A similar equipped 535i cost >60k compared to the approx 45-46k this car will cost when it hits the market.

Hyundai had to step up when both BMW and Infiniti step up there power in the 5 series (v8 400hp turbo) and M series 37/56 (I6/v8 330/430hp).

The r spec Genesis placed them right in the middle with a 333hp v6 and a 429hp v8. The normal base Genesis will also have the 333hp v6 and 8speed auto tranny standard.
