Funny thread. I'm still an Acura owner but definitely less of an Acura enthusiast than I used to be. I simply don't like the styling direction Acura has wandered off in . I'm glad I'm not in the market for a car right now as I'd be rocking GM stuff right now. Yes, that's right, American cars.

AZ for life, though! It's an addiction.

(see sig)

But wife owns a '07 TSX, so I can still wear my Acurazine t-shirt. Too bad it makes no sense when I step out of my car...

i'm still with my TSX because i'm too cheap to buy a new car, even if i am coveting a G35/G37/EX35 and the new A4.

Found this forum back when I got my RL in 2005. Visited other forums when I got my Audi in 2006. Got rid of my RL last month and got a Subaru Forester XT. No more Acura, but I love Acurazine more than any of the Audi or Subaru forums. "teh best"

What year and color IS-F are you looking at and how much are they quoting you? In the Club Lexus forums a few are quoting close to invoice for the remaining '08s.

I still drive an Acura ('05 TL 6spd) for now, unless I jump the gun on an '08 TLS 6spd, which is less and less likely (since there's like only 2 left on the lot - a silver and a WDP both 6spds), I'll probably swing for either an ISF or an '08 E92 M3 or '09 E90 M3. Maybe an '08 RS4 as they still have 2 new ones on the lots that they can't sell lol.

But yeah I agree that the products that Acuras are rolling out these days are looking less and less appealing.

The EX is pretty nice - gorgeous interior and pretty good luxury - but it's awfully small. It looks big by itself until you see it parked next to a G35 sedan - the sedan has a longer wheelbase than the EX wtf? The rear is really tight but the front seats are super comfortable.

I had a loaner RDX once and although it was really nice - plenty of cargo capacity, etc. - I couldn't get over the tinny-sounding turbo 4. Every time I was going up a hill I had to gas it and the turbo would just kick in, slamming you to the back of your seat. Never could get used to that. Plus, it's kind of bare bones, not too luxurious, IMO. (They didn't add the pwr passenger seat until the '08 MY I think.) Sizewise and dimension wise, though, it's prefect.

The X3 is probably a good mix of the 2 - luxurious and spacy - but it's too damn ugly IMO and is in dire need of a redesign ASAP.

Almost left Acura...I had my TL listed for sale via a consignment thru a local luxury/exotic car dealership but they did not sell it in 30 days. I'm glad cause I really didn't want to sell it in the first place. It was just the pressure of two car payments but I seem to be doing ok now :P

Eh...there are only two cars I would trade mine in without hesitation. E46 M3 or an 08' MR....nothing else does anything for me =/ Thats only speaking for the 28-30k market though.

I still have my Saber/TL, but it is for sale. I'm good with the new ride, and I love the looks I get with it.

The people here are pretty cool. I mean, I used the forums for car info, and the people in this section just seemed to be alright. I'll never be one of those 25K posters that has to comment on everything, but I'll pop in every now and then.

I do have another Honda product, and in about 2 years, I'll be trading that one for another one.

Fa sho. I use my element when i go surf. Aside from a few yahoos, i still enjoy browsing the forums. I'm still a long ways from 40 so i tend to blend in a little better on azine agewise than the porsche forums lolz. The peeps on this site are hella cool in general and it's always good for a little stress release between patients.

Because the M3 is german...i don't feel like paying that insane amount for maintaining those cars. Yeah all the mags and stuff are giving the new M3 top honors, but all they look at is performance and not reliability and overall total cost of ownership. Go on autotrader.com and look up how many M3s are up for sale 50 miles from 92708....you'll be AMAZED.

Mercedes C63 AMG...no thanks....our family had to sue mercedes to take back their E500. Audi RS4? It's 80k! AND STILL GERMAN! I want JDM only. YEah the IS-F i guess they say miss some points, but i believe it's overall the best....not just performance.

And besides....i can't stand german interiors! It looks so...so....boring.

Fair enough.

But, have you thought about that always the first gen cars are guinea pig? First gen always seem to have more problems, maybe you should wait until next year? but, then again, we are talking about toyota here so...

Anyway, I will be coming down to cali so you better let me ride in it.

I agree with S14. I wouldn't buy a first gen. I would even try to stay away from new remodels, like 04 TL, 07g35 ect. But dude if you go with M3 you wont have to pay a dime for 4 years/ 50k miles. BMW pays for EVERYTHING. However, you could be driving a loaner alot.

LAMO....i have confidence in the IS-F though...it is a Toyota. I've been getting quotes as low as 900 over invoice. I'm gonna go to the dealer tomorrow (wednesday) and i'm gonna see if i can just get it at invoice which is $54,371.

I 90% sold my TL yesterday....the guy is gonna come pick it up tonight...i'll be without a car for a day and driving my parents 03 accord, then after work i'll go get my IS-F! Pics coming soon.............

I am going to be an Acura driver at least through college. Yeah I could get a newer nicer car but why should I waste all that money? I plan on keeping my car through college and than upgrading. Hell I might keep it a few years after college the TL is still a great car and I would have to spend a lot to get into something nicer.

I traded in my 2004 Acura TL for a 2007 Lexus IS 350 two years back. I still like to visit here once in a while but I no longer own an Acura. I have to say, I am fully satisfied with my IS 350.
