i have bought a ford cargo van for work. i went with the seller to dmv and registered the van under my name that day. a few days later i get the dmv papers back and has highlighted on the top of the paper, lien satisfied from ford motor co. i have tried calling the original owner and he doesnt call me back. do anyone know what a lien satisfied means?? i havent had time to get to dmv. thanks...

 

im guessing its payed off?

 

It means a previous loan was paid off in full. If it was not you would not have been able to register the car as the title would still be at the bank hollding the lien.
