Talk about troll bait. The blood is filling the gills of ONE_SICK_LEX as we speak, and within moments we'll be hearing opinions about this....
....from someone who drives this....
....who is only qualified to talk about this....
....as that is who drives the ES330.

Interesting reading. That discussion is certainly more civilized and has a better SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) than the "TL vs. Model X" discussions that take place here.

Seems like a reasonable discussion. I hope no one here attempts a low-class dive bomb.
That kid sounds like one who posted here a while back trying to convince his mom to buy a TL.

O.G.
It's funny how the guy started out liking the TL first and then got brainwashed into liking the es. Gotta love kids and their way of thinking.
FYI, I am not bashing the es, but those guys are so full of shit. Oh well, every forum has their share. I was gonna give my 2 cents but didn't feel like registering.

I drove both. My tastes were actually better suited to the IS300 -- but it, like the G35, suffers from a cheap interior.
The ES330 is more luxury than the TL's sport luxury. Not nearly as powerful, somewhat quieter, very nice ride, no steering feedback. Base price is cheaper, but you'll ring it up way past the price of the TL before you get it equipped nearly half as well. Lexus build quality is better than Acura's, and their service is marginally better. Like the TL is derived from the Accord, the ES is built on a Camry platform.
The ES330's a cushy ride, and the interior quality is supreme. But it's nowhere near the driving experience that the TL is, and the sticker is higher with any reasonable equipment level.

Second, your mother is a bull and your father is a pig, explaining all this BULLSHIT outta your mouth.
Third, the TL and ES are built for different reasons and no one is better than the other. Both off Camry/Accords, both have their specific markets. At least the ES is built in Japan.
ES 330 has more torque than a TL! 2 whole lbs! (I'm playing around)
BoltJames has singlehandedly lowered this communities I.Q rating as well as rating. So kudo to him.
And since your out of school for summer, how about mowing your parents lawn and washing your dad's car.

I'm not even a member of that board. They were having a civilized discussion (which you can't have here) on why they did not CHOSE the TL. That is their choice, they made it, they stated their reasons.
JESUS does not drive a TL.

i love the guy that was talking about "dissing" their "club." dork.

The TL is also the reason for the UFO sightings on Area 51.

duuuude, that LEX is like SICK man.
yo - i'm not one of those guys to say the TL is the greatest car ever (but it is better than any lexus under 40,000). my post had nothing to do with this car being better than that car, i said you guys seem like fucking dorks over there. that, and the fact that i don't own a lexus, are the reasons i would never post there. so i guess my question is what are you doing over here, SICK LEX from "hotlanta"? and my other question is who the hell refers to their town as hotlanta? that's like me saying i'm from K-town.

IMOH I think the Lexus resemble too much of their Toyota counterparts. The ES300 look exactly like the Camry, IS300 like a Corrola/Matrix, RX330 a RAV4, GX470 a 4Runner/Sequoia, and the LX470 is a duplicate of the Land Cruiser. Even the SC400 resembles a Solara? Why pay for a luxury car that look exactly like it's little brother? At least Acura masks their luxury cars a little bit. Sure, you can still tell that Acura's are Honda's, I just don't think it is as noticeable as a slap in the face. The TL, RL and RSX are in a class of their own I believe, I don't really think I can look at Honda and say, "Wow, looks like just like an Acura XXX". With the exception that the TSX does resemble the Accord quite a bit, and the MDX and Pilot too.

1. You need to drive the least attractive Lexus made.
2. You need to troll in the TL forum.
Such a luxury brand. So much for the "Big 3" theory.

Apples to Oranges.
While yes you CAN compare the TL to the ES, to me it is somewhat pointless. They aim to please different types of buyers.
To me, the ES has no "fun factor". It is competent on the road, predictable and safe. If I wanted a car that I could relax in, I'd buy it.
The TL is for the wannabe boyracer who needs 4 doors and some practicality and gizmos. It is more "balanced" I think but of course, just my opinion as my needs/wants are different than your average ES buyer.
No one is right/wrong about this. Car choices are subjective.
I've said it, flame away.

I totally agree Ken. Car choices are subjective, and the everyone has their own different opinion about everything, including cars. There is no right or wrong. I just ripped on Lexus a couple of posts ago, and I drive one!! Not by choice, but out of neccassity. As far as cars go, if it has an engine, 4 wheels, and a steering wheel, you are all set. If it makes YOU happy, that's all that matters

Well, I'm not a fan of the three spoke so I was happy when the TL came the way it is. Then again, that's what I like. As for the first guy to reply about the turning radius being too small, I'm glad he chose a Lexus so he can make quicker U-turns and get outta my way and all the other TLers that want to drive straight.
All I can say is drive what you like and can afford and screw what the others think. Some people are even envious that I own a car, and they don't. Just gotta look on the bright side.
