Lewis Hamilton's dad crashes Porsche yards from home

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/topstor...9520-20595479/

Lewis Hamilton's dad yesterday proved it's not all in the genes by spectacularly pranging this £330,000 Porsche.

Anthony Hamilton shunted the 205mph Carrera GT through a hedge and careered into an empty children's play area moments after leaving home.

The Porsche doesn't deserve such treatment.

"Tree surgeon Daniel Winn, 23, told the Mirror: "I was working near his house and saw him leave in the Porsche. He started revving the car really hard and wheel-spinned off. He had the roof down and looked at me before he put his foot down. He roared off and 50 yards down the road lost it on the corner."

Sounds like he was trying to show off and failed...

Since it went in backwards, it looks like the only damage is to the taillight and rear piece... and a buff job!

Someone chopped in the sign.

I was dearly hoping it was a Porsche Boxster or a 911 when I read the thread title. But it's not.

That's what happens when unexperienced hands touch a car of this magnitude.

Even though the accident was pretty minor I would bet the repairs will cost more then what the average acuraziners car is worth, parts and repairs on those things is insane.

Indeed, the tree did not fall far from the apple in this case.

j/k...I am a HAM fan myself. I am glad no one was hurt in this incident and the car can be repaired or easily replaced by said owners.

He lost it backwards, and it went into an "empty children's play area." Thank goodness it was empty.

Nice car, cold tires, wrong Hamilton driving.

I wonder if dad was borrowing Lewis' car...

Doesn't look too bad. New rear bumper, taillight, and a good detail will have this car looking brand new again.
