The guy is webcarconnection, and he wasn't stock, but not far from it. He had an intake, and had also removed his resonator. (No headers torquey.. )

105 trap. His slip is posted here:

105 trap speed.... He's definitely making more than 287 HP with those two mods though....

Maybe that resonator is restrictive

Any Dyno's yet???

Anybody Dyno'd one of these things yet to confirm the factory HP numbers... maybe they're just a bit under-rated.

I'm in the market for a new car 350z, and G35coupe.

I test drove and looked at both cars plenty of times and I liked the G35coupe much better. This is from hours of looking at both cars.

Go test drive both and you'll see.

As much as I liked acura's... I would get a 350z or g35 coupe over the CLS, my friend has one and after test driving the g35 coupe his selling his now for it.

My g35c 6spd should be here soon.

Test drove the G35c 4 days ago up in suburban ATL...I was definitely more than mildly impressed. The fun started when the salesman told me to shift each gear at redline. I had to ask him again to make sure...and I was definitely pleased...then he let me drive through some twisties at about 65-75 in 3rd with traction control on, which got my heart racing. Then we cruised the highway at 80 in 6th, he told me to drop it into 4th and punch it. So i did, up to 100. I guess he wanted me to see how well it pulled on the highway....it was mildly better than my 1st gen 4cyl The interior is growing on me, though I'd agree that the CL-s has better seats. Liked the brushed aluminum, but I'm not a big fan of the steering wheel. Overall, I'd have to say I loved it....the test drive was mad fun, I think the salesman was trying to get me with the "wow" factor.

Already knowing I wasn't in the market to buy, after the drive he said "what would it take to get you to take one of these home"? I told him about 35k in cash

I test drove both...and bought the Z. Hands down, the better choice for me, although I wish I could have bought both. I already see G35 owners griping about the lack of aftermarket goodies available for the G when they see what's available for the Z. I plan on modding the hell out of my Z...I do think the G35c is more like the CLS in form and function so I think many here will likely prefer it to the Z. Oh and as for the dash..I ordered this CF console a little while ago :

i did. actually the same day that scalbert did his last dyno, pre-S/C. they are not under-rated. perhaps a bit over-rated. but i do contend that NOTHING touches this car as far as bang for the buck and value at 35 to 40K. oh and here is the dyno chart, nothing too amazing.......

btw, 1st time at the strip, 1st run with a manual........14.4 @ 99. could do better but its hot as shit here in tx now.......

Hmmm...

I'm not an expert in the dyno category, but don't those numbers seem a bit low? I mean, 225hp means abut 20% loss from the crank??? A bit high for a manual?

I dunno... I really don't give a crap, because the G is a kickass car and I love mine. I guess I'm looking for clarification.

60' of 2.2xx, i think. this thing wheel hops like mad. of course, im not a seasoned pro like you are. i have found out that if you short shift at like 6300, the traps go up about 2 or 3 mph. i was shifting at redline. of course, with the tree counting down, it was hard for me to hold a clean rpm for the launch. but i have been practicing at stop lights (the holding, not the launch). as soon as it cools off, in say january , ill head back to the track. there is a guy in NJ that ran a 14.1 stock, and a 13.7 with D/Rs. the power is def there, even if it doesnt show on the dyno. btw, have you run your beast down the strip yet?

thats why i said that they may be over-rated. i dynoed mine with like 6 or 7 hundred miles on it. unfortunately, i havent really seen anyone else dyno with a 6MT coupe/sedan. not too many enthusiasts driving the G i guess. dont get me wrong, i am absolutely in love with mine. maybe ill go dyno mine again soon. or perhaps you could strap yours down.......
